No no no! This is not the place you should come to if you are looking for nice, not racist service! The food here is fine (I would give 4 stars), their pizza is a little more “Americanized” and their pasta is extremely basic with very thin sauces that don’t cling to the noodles. The plus is that they do give you spicy oils and pepper flakes and chilis and grated Parmesan that are very nice. But the issue at this place was the extremely poor service that we had. First of all, it took about 20 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge us and take our drink order. Then, for 3 people we got one pizza and one pasta to share since we wanted to eat light. Little did we know this was going to be the crux of racism. When our food was ready, an older male server brought our food out, saying “I brought some extra utensils because I know how you people are.” It didn’t really rub me the wrong way at the time, but seemed odd. After we had licked our plates clean of the pretty good food, a woman waitress took our plates and was smiling, and then as soon as she got towards the back where other servers were, she started laughing and talking and pointing at our plates, then trying to inconspicuously point at us. Not ok with a restaurant making fun of their customers. Especially since we happened to be the only brown folk seated in the entire inside and outside of the restaurant. Would not come here again just due to the poor staff decisions.

I had ordered the risotto with mushrooms and saffron on a Sunday evening at 5pm with hardly any guests in the restaurant (maybe 3 other tables). The risotto was tasty but extremely undercooked to the point that almost every bite there were hard raw pieces. I had told the waiter exactly this and he questioned my understanding of how risotto should taste and said it is supposed to like that and that the pasta and risotto in this restaurant are al denté. And I had to tell him I know what al denté is, and this was definitely undercooked and raw. The chef did not taste this at all before serving. The waiter was nice to offer another dish or to remake the dish. I had the dish remade and it was definitely a lot better the second time, however still wasn’t entirely perfect. The waiter returned to ask how it was and exclaimed that “risotto is not meant to be cooked long”. I really feel like he’a mansplaning to me what risotto is supposed to taste like at this point. Esp when I’ve had risotto dishes from many good restaurants previously. Just a warning if you get their risotto. If it’s not up to par, they do have good service. I can’t comment on the other dishes they serve. Also the ambiance is lacking a bit, there was no music. And they charge you 0.70 euro for tap water here.

Came here because we were really craving Italian and the reviews and photos looked decent. Big mistake - terrible service AND subpar food. Right when we walked in, the first waiter seemed annoyed. Asked if we were eating or just drinking, and when we said eating, he pointed to some sign about a €20 minimum per person. Fine. Then he just kind of pointed us toward a table. The waiter who came to take our order was just as unfriendly, you could tell he really didn't want to be there. Then he told us to put our water bottle away, acting like they had some fancy filtered water or something when they don't. And they charge for tap water too. The food was just as disappointing as the service. Both pasta we got were way overcooked, flavour was meh. Portion was decent sized but that's literally the only good thing I can say. After our meal, I went back and read more reviews and saw tons of people complaining about the same rude staff behaviour. Should've double checked! Honestly, for what they charge and the attitude you get, there's gotta be way better Italian places in Salzburg. If you want subpar food served with a side of attitude, this is your spot. Otherwise, keep looking.

My experience with them was bad. To be honest, I didn't try their food, but I gave them 5 stars. I gave one star for the service because of a disrespectful and ill-mannered employee. Because of this employee, I didn't enter the restaurant or try their food. It's true that the employees are the face of the restaurant. If the employees are polite and respectful, you'll love the restaurant, even if the food isn't excellent. Google Maps says the restaurant closes at 11 PM and the kitchen closes at 10 PM. I arrived at 9:30 AM, and there was an outside table where you wait until an employee comes and lets you in. But there was a sign saying the restaurant was closed, even though there were customers and the employees were still serving. I pointed to one of the employees, and he came over with arrogance. I asked, "Is the restaurant closed?" He pointed to the sign and said, "Didn't you see it says 'Closed?'" "It's closed." I told him I saw it, but I wanted to make sure. He didn't respond and left while I was talking. I told him Google Maps says you close at 11. Here he got angry and came back to me and said: "So if we close at 11, when do you want us to go home at 2??" His behavior was the height of rudeness and disrespect. For your information, I wear a hijab and the conversation we had was in English. There were no employees around when I spoke to him. Of course, I left the restaurant and never returned. I filed an email complaint against...

I have rarely met such scorn from waiters.

We asked to eat in because it was a but chilly outside, and they guided us towards a table that was literally right next to an open double door leading to the terrace... We asked for seating further in the restaurant (there was plenty of available place) and the server was visibly annoyed.

Let's not even talk about the face he made when we said we wouldn't order any drinks and would just get some tap water...

I especially hated the fact that he asked my girlfriend first to which she responded we would only take some tap water and then, visibly shocked, he asked me as if I would overrule her because SURELY we would be ordering expensive alcohol and she was just "some woman" who did not appreciate the finer things.

To add insult to injury we arrived at 8pm (hardly what i would call late service) and asked for two dishes which were apparently both unavailable.

Waiter response time was abysmal and we had to wait multiple times for dozens of minutes first for them to take our order, and then to get our food and once again after asking for the bill.

Food was okay, but not worth the hassle of having to deal with this kind of degrading behaviour.

Only redeeming features are the setting and the toilets which were clean and spruced up (generally a sign of a good quality restaurant but apparently not...
