Balkan Grill Walter — Restaurant in Salzburg

I was looking forward to try this for a long time, BUT I tried another bosna at Hallstatt and it was really delicious before having the bosna at Balkan Grill so I had something to compare it to. Both my partner and I found the bosna at Hallstatt better than the one at Balkan Grill. As someone else had mention, this place is all hype. True, but it has been here the longest, I believe. There are other places in town that offer bosnas. My suggestion is try them all AS WELL AS the bosna at Balkan Grill. I also suggest ordering the bosna with the sauces because without them, the bosna may be too dry for most people. The sausages are tasty, and you can see the spices once you bite into one. This is a really good, place, don't get me wrong. Try it for yourself. Study the menu before hand so you know exactly what to get when its your time to order. If you don't speak German, you can order by using the numbers found on the menu, which is what I did (yes, I did learn some basic German so I know how to say...

This is just a small food stall with 2 workers. They serve Bosna (Bulgarian Bratwurst sausage) & everything's made fresh to order. It's hard to find as it's hidden in an alley & once you get there, there's likely a line (15-30 mins during meal times). However, I think it's worth the hassle since it's the best food I had in Austria.

Original #1 (€4) - Sausage, Onions & Parsley, Spice Blend. Absolutely divine! The sausages're cooked perfectly & the spices're so unique and on point. I've never had anything like this - it's a must try!

There was a constant queue but the queue moved quickly. It took my hubby 10 mins to get to the front of queue. Conveniently located in a rather obscure corridor off the main shopping street.

It was one of the cheapest food I could find in Salzburg but it was not cheap for my budget. My hubby chose the one with fresh onions and I chose the Currywurst sausage on bread. Both are delicious. It felt good to eat a warm food on a cold winter afternoon. It fuel me up and enabled me to continue exploring the old town without having to sit and eat.
