I made a purchase. They stated they needed to see my passport to verify I can get VAT refund. THEY DID NOT TELL ME THEY WOULD SHARE MY INFORMATION WITH A THIRD PARTY GLOBAL BLUE. I DID NOT CONSENT TO THAT!!!!!
I specifically told the salesperson (Kim) I was not interested in a VAT refund. She said she still needed my passport. The receipt states "by agreeing to be issued this tax free form" - why would I agree to the issuance of a form when I specifically said I wasn't interested in a VAT refund? And how can I agree to let Global Blue handle the refund when I never heard of Global Blue?!?!?!
They shared my name, email address, and PASSPORT NUMBER with a third party without my knowledge or consent. It wasn't until AFTER the purchase was completed I realized what they did.
