BURGERISTA — Restaurant in Salzburg

Wow. This place blew me away, and not many places do that. Maybe it was the refreshing “American” feel of a fast food joint with unlimited soda refills and free condiments. Those certainly help when you’re in Europe and have to pay for water or ketchup.

While a fast food style place, the food tasted anything but fast. Quality beef patties and perfectly crispy fries. Their Firework burger is actually spicy! As much as American joins call their burgers “spicy,” none of them even come close to any spice. But this place had an actual enjoyable and noticeable about of heat, and for presentation they even speared a giant chili on top! The chili was like a bell pepper though in taste (it isn’t spicy, just the spread on the burger). We also got their fried “Mexican” style. I thought it meant like with beans cheese pico etc. The fries were instead covered in a sweet, cinnamon dust which was a little weird at first but tasty nonetheless. I suggest going with regular, however.

One thing that amazed me a ton was the sheer selection of condiments. Their white dipping sauce is essentially a less potent and viscous mayonnaise which is fantastic. They also have maybe 6-8 DIFFERENT barbecue sauces. I loved mixing a couple barbecue and mayo sauces and generously dipping my fries and burger in it! Make this place a top priority if...

Tasty Food, Quick Service, but Needs Improved Cleanliness and Ventilation

I recently paid a visit to BURGERISTA and indulged in their low-calorie burger. The burger was exceptional in terms of taste, hitting all the right notes on my palate.

The service was another high point during our visit. The staff was quick, efficient, and extremely courteous, making our overall dining experience quite enjoyable.

However, there were a few hiccups that marred the experience. The first was the lack of cleanliness. Our table was not as clean as it should have been with visible leftovers, and the state of the wash basin left something to be desired as well.

The second issue was the smoky atmosphere in the restaurant. While it did lend a certain charm to the experience initially, leaving with our clothes smelling strongly of smoked burger was not something we anticipated. This could be a potential downside for customers who are sensitive to such odors.

I ordered two burger sets but they charged me for three. When I found out that I was overcharged, I went back and asked the cashier to doublecheck my order, but the cashier was so sure about the calculations, insisting that the paid amount was for two burgers (not three), which made me quite embarrassed in front of other people. But when the burgers were ready, they came with the order receipt (which I didn’t receive earlier), which clearly stated that the order was for THREE burgers. I went back and showed the cashier the order receipt and asked for a return of the overcharged amount. The cashier discussed something with the other worker in a language that I, as a foreigner, didn’t understand, and at last, reluctantly returned me the overcharged amount with a very dissatisfied look. I wasn’t able to receive any words of apologies as well. Although the burgers tasted okay, it was a very unpleasant experience as a foreigner, and I don’t plan on visiting this place again...
