Great Festival House — Attraction in Salzburg

We went on The Great Festival Hall tour . English speaking at 9am Monday, but do check the website for dates and times. We used our Salzburg cards. Entry is behind the post with faces on it , they open the iron gate at the side of the shop about 15 minutes before the tour. Hermann was a lovely man & excellent guide. Informing us about the festival hall productions and all the hard work that goes into producing the performances. He also explained the history of the Festival hall. We were amazed to see so many beautiful theatres along with the one all us Brits know from The Sound of Music. This used to be a cavalry training area The back arches and walls are all carved out of the rock. I had no idea that a large section of the seating in the main theatre actually lifts up. Das Große Festspielhaus in Salzburg ist ein wahres Meisterwerk der Architektur und ein unverzichtbarer Ort für jeden Kultur- und Musikliebhaber. Ich hatte das Vergnügen, eine Aufführung dort zu erleben, und es war einfach überwältigend. Schon das Gebäude selbst ist beeindruckend – ein historisches Juwel, das seine Gäste mit seinem prunkvollen Stil und der beeindruckenden Größe empfängt.

Die Akustik im Festspielhaus ist unübertroffen. Egal, wo man sitzt, jeder Ton ist klar und präzise, ohne dass etwas verloren geht. Die Aufführung, die ich gesehen habe, war ein wahrer Genuss – die Musiker und Sänger haben mit Leidenschaft und Hingabe gespielt, was die Atmosphäre nur noch magischer gemacht hat.

Der Saal selbst ist riesig, aber gleichzeitig sehr gemütlich, sodass man sich nie verloren fühlt. Das Publikum war konzentriert und respektvoll, was eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre während der gesamten Aufführung schuf. Der Service war ebenfalls hervorragend – von den freundlichen Mitarbeitern bis hin zur gut organisierten Garderobe und den schnellen Einlassprozessen.

Was mir besonders gefallen hat, war die einzigartige Verbindung zwischen Tradition und Moderne, die das Haus ausstrahlt. Es ist ein Ort, an dem Geschichte lebendig wird, aber gleichzeitig auch moderne Technik genutzt wird, um das Erlebnis noch zu verbessern.

Fazit: Das Große Festspielhaus ist ein absolutes Highlight in Salzburg und ein Muss für jeden, der klassische Musik und Oper liebt. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen...
