Went there for brunch today and ordered the Panda Frühstück which is essentially steamed dumplings. When they brought it to me, I ate a Bärlauchtasche dumpling (shrimp and garlic) and it didn’t taste right… I opened up a second Bärlauchtasche dumpling and saw that it was still raw on the inside so I brought it the waiter’s attention. They brought my entire plate back and had the kitchen remake it… 20 minutes later, they brought me the order again, telling me that they steamed it for longer this second time around. Again, I ate the Bärlauchtasche dumpling, this time a little bit better - at least it’s warm. I decided to try the siu mai dumpling so I cut it in half to look… lo and behold, the inside is not cooked through again and siu mai is made with pork! Again, I sent the plate back… absolutely not happy about this. I didn’t even want them to try making it a third time…. I’ve had enough and was very disappointed that such a cafe can make the same mistake like this (TWICE!).
They didn’t charge me for this but they were not apologetic nor did they offer any explanation as to why it was undercooked. We saw other tables ordering it and even wondered if their dishes are cooked properly.
My stomach has not been feeling good as I did eat 2 dumplings. If you decide to go to this cafe and order this dish, please check to make sure it’s cooked through before eating. Needless to say, I am very hesitant to go back or to even recommend this...

A rude and cold welcome is what awaited me. I was told to sit wherever I wanted which I did -on the terrace. I observed how whites that arrived after me were immediately greeted and asked for their order. The waiter for that section clearly saw I was there and looked away twice. I even closed my menu to ensure it was clear I was ready to order. No effect. Eventually the greeter (if you can call him that) came back to the terrace and asked if I had ordered which I indicated I hadn't. Then... then... using the familiar form of 'you' (very disrespectful in German to use when you don't know the person), he said 'tell me what you want to drink'. I corrected him politely repeating his statement, using the formal form of you which he didn't respond to or apologize for being familiar. So I got up and left. I timed the time it took me to be there and ignored: 3Min 34Sec. This when they weren't that busy outside and the waiter, as I said, greeted others. Racist cretins but sadly...
Read moreThe cafe is in 2 parts, it belongs to the museum of the same name and there is a part of the cafe inside the museum which you will require a ticket to visit ( during my visit this part was only serving drinks ) and then in the good weather there is a large outdoor terrace in the museum quarter square next to the museum which is open for anyone to visit.
The menu is not available in English although the server was able to explain the main dishes to me and help me choose.
It is an Asian kitchen and I ordered Bulgogi Huhn, a Korean bowl of rice with chopped chicken thigh and onion with tiny slivers of veg and a fried egg on top ( which I asked to be cooked solid and it was ).
Although the marinade was very tasty and similar to a teriyaki sauce, the chopped meat was very sinewy and the dish really needed some added vegetables. I didn’t finish it. I really didn’t like the chicken. Maybe just the wrong choice for me. I’d order a veggie dish next time. The server was...
