went there wednesday noon, with my sister and two hungry nephews, 4&8years old.
in short waiter was very neutral pointing out how he thinks we have to order. he had no idea about what customer service can be, no idea of apologizing at all.
long version
the younger nephew was playing with the paper menu, using it not ruining it, but we were informed, those are freshly printed - ???
my older nephew (a us resident) tried to order his special burger and practicing his german, that was obviously way to complicated for the waiter. right, his german pronunciation is not perefct and he's a child, somewhat shy. finally the waiter pointed out, we have to order drinks first, all of us.
the burger comes with a sauce: what kind of sauce? - a special sauce! what is special sauce? - a special sauce! asking again: it's kind of a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise. it seemed special orders on burgers are not possible, at least not welcome.
we decided to cancel our partial order an left. before, I asked for a manager to give feedback, who was not available and gone for some errands. when I approached other staff there, our waiter was informing them, that we had troubles with our order and are probably unsatisfied. it seemed to me, other staff was immediately in a defensive mood, no idea what customer service can be and it is clear to me, they were not interested in keeping a customer and/or resolve this.
probably they were pleased that we left. too bad. I also want to mention, I had a pleasant visit by myself some time before.
we had a perfect lunch with friendly, welcoming...
Read moreI used to come to this place very often, because it actually has a nice terrace. Strangely enough, do not expect to actually get a nice spot to sit there. Recently the place started to basically not let you sit on any decent spot on the terrace. Why this is the case, I really wonder. Over the last couple of weeks I tried to go there on the afternoon (around 4:30), to drink a coffee. Always the waiter will ask me: "to drink or for eating" and I will say I just would like to drink something. (at 4:30! Who gets dinner at that time?) Always, they will tell me that they cannot offer me a table on the terrace, but actually some high table at the corner. The weird thing being: half of the terrace is actually closed up and the other half is 3/4 empty with reservation papers lying on them. They really need to rethink their serving policies in my opinion, because I won't be coming anymore for drinks nor for food. Coffee and drinks are actually pretty good (although on the pricier side), food cannot hold up to this and is so-so, and for the quality served too pricey IMHO. In any case, don't expect to get a nice place to sit there when you come. There is a nice coffee house nearby with a nice terrace where you can sit no matter what you will consume (Cafe Wortner) or just go to Do-An at Naschmarkt for a nice terrace and friendly people that treat you like a customer...
Read moreAlthough the food was tasty… it took forever and a little bit longer…. don’t go if you’re hungry. Also and this was a first one for me in whole Austria the bathroom didn’t have any toilet paper whatsoever… imagine for a woman when you need to use the toilet with literally none paper towel… serviette… nothing at all … at 1:30pm even though the restaurant opened at 10am for brunch. The server was attentive nothing wrong with him.., he tried his best. But the food really came painfully and ridiculously late. And the fact that the told us that they ran out of toilet paper the night before and waited for a client a 1:30 pm to put some serviette because we asked for it’s difficult to understand. An awful experience all together…. definitely not coming back. The food was good but also nothing to remember. What we would really remember of this restaurant its the tardiness on the food to arrive and the lack of toilet paper in both restrooms men and women… that was incredibly disappointing, annoying and disgusting to...
