I read a lot of 1 star review from people who dine in this Chutney branch in Hauptbahnhof Vienna 🤔 First I was afraid, my boyfriend said "don't go there, a lot of people disappointed", but I am willing to try anyway.
Today I bought home a small portion of beef curry, I am very satisfied ☺️ It was big enough that I devided in 2, I keep the other half in the freedge.
The lady in the counter was polite, so in my experience everything went well.
I advise you all travelers, situation in the Hauptbahnhof can be hectic. People are tired, people that you talk to before, in the train or in the airplane has disappointed you. When you are hungry your decision is a bit messy, the chair to dine are public food court ; not often free during the lunch or dinner time. So probably you already having a bad day, but this Chutney is worthy to try.
The rice is soft, the beef are tender. All ingredients as delicious as in the ordinary Indian restaurant, no complaints from me.
For girls I advise you say this "beef curry menu, small portion". It came already with the yellow rice...
Read moreI was there on the 25th April in the Night at 12:15 am. I was with 10 other people, I went there and asked the server if the food is halal or if just the chicken is halal, after answering my question he proceeded to serve my 10 friends , while serving my friends I asked him another question and he asked to wait my turn , so I did. When my turn came around I asked I could taste the curries before ordering, I did not like the curries I tasted so I asked for a 3rd one, at this point the server refused to give me anything at all, he told me he isn't going to serve me any food, I was never impolite or rude with him , nor was I insincere , he then proceeded to make racist comments about me being from india and how we are so different and he doesn't have the patience to deal with us. He made very hurtful comments about my race and also asked so us multiple time to leave the place in a very Rude manner. Very very Rude service, and...
Read moreWe ordered chicken makhni and chicken curry with rice. The quality of both chicken dishes were so disappointing that we truly would like to give 0 star for this restaurant and strongly recommend everyone to avoid coming to Chutney restaurant at Wien Haubtbahnof. Their taste is the worst among several indian Restaurants that we have tried in Vienna or across other European nations, its simply horrible that they are serving food with Indian specialty label, and fooling the Viennese people by calling it an Indian taste.....its purely unauthentic indian food I have ever ate in my entire life. Purely waste of money and moreover so much disappointment that sadly they are using aurhentic Indian restaurant however their food tase is barely 1% of actually Indian cuisine. I would better stay hungry the whole day rather than eating their so caled horribly prepared dishes. Overall horrible experience in Chutney Wien...
