Soooo let’s be realistic, the line is long, since the good score by the reviews. Once on the line, waiting up to 15 minutes, you are in front of the ice creams… and actually there are not so many options. You are deciding not to loose your time and check some craziness like goat cheese or Pumpkin seed. You are left with thin, weak flavour, and the most enjoyable thing in your order is the cone… Maybe I’m too much into sweet ice creams, but guys, if you are looking for a good chocolate ice cream or salted caramel - this is not your place. Eis-Greissler was recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint. It is a small shop "hole in the wall", but the ice cream was top notch. Uniquely the sell goat cheese ice cream (sweet despite what you might think), which I have tried together with dark chocolate. Both were delicious. Everytime when I go there, there is a long queue until outside of the tiny store. But it's definitely worth the wait. The staff is super friendly and you can even try the flavors before you choose it. In my opinion it's the best ice cream store in Vienna, way better than the popular ones where all the tourists are.
