Huber's — Restaurant in Vienna

TOURIST TRAP ALERT! This was the worst restaurant I have ever ate at in Vienna, and I stay here in the city each year to visit my family over the holidays. We came here for the first time based on the positive reviews, and I can’t regret that decision enough. We were here New Year’s Eve for the pricey prefix dinner. The salmon was not fresh, in fact it was absolutely disgusting. As was the schnitzel. Greasy & flavorless. The kitchen is an absolute disgrace & to call what we were served schnitzel is an insult to all of Austria. Even worse than the food was the service. As respectful customers, to be treated like we were, in addition to the bad food served was quite out of line.

To the older white server with the beard & earnings, who went out of his way to make sure my family & I had a terrible New Years dinner - when I see you again, its not going be good for you. That’s a promise from my heart. I might even plan a special trip back before next years holidays just for the occasion!

Went there for dinner yesterday evening. Since the restaurant runs on two people only (husband waiting tables, wife cooking the food), there was some extra waiting time (we knew that in advance though), however... it was well worth the wait!!! The food is simply awesome! I went traditional and took the Wiener schnitzel (always do when I'm in Vienna), my wife and daughter took the lamb chop. We all enjoyed our dinner. The girls went for dessert afterwards (a wonderful white chocolate mousse cake), while I just had a coffee (eine Melange) afterwards. Would highly recommend this place, but making reservations...

I had a wonderful experience at Huber’s essen & trinken! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor – you can tell they use quality ingredients. The menu has a great variety, and everything we tried was perfectly cooked. It’s a place that makes you feel at home while still enjoying restaurant-level quality. Since they’ve been around since 2004, it’s clear why – consistency, great food, and warm hospitality.
