We were recommended this place by two friends with different tastes, after booking on our own based on google reviews. We unfortunately had a less than ideal experience, based seemingly on poor kitchen management and/or poor front of house management. The potato soup came out 30 seconds after we ordered. Okay, but a little odd. Then two of our party got their Wiener Schnitzel and Beef Gulasch, in about the time one might expect. But the other two of our party had to wait 45 minutes to get our Goose, and only after we asked a server, as no one checked in with us in the interim, despite having an empty pitcher of water on the edge of the table and no food on half the table. There was a large party that came in after us, but the restaurant was 30-50% full the entire time we were there. All of the meat was cooked very well, but the dishes lacked any special quality. So, the absolute lack of any kind of service at all, paired with a potentially forgotten(?) order (it felt as if it had been under the warmer lights for a while), and unreasonably high prices for the trouble (and they charge for tap water...) result in a three star review. I personally hate experiences like this and so I'm leaving this review so that others might question their choice to go here. I want to see reviews like this so that I can go into a restaurant fully aware (or choose another). Doing the bare minimum shouldn't warrant a 5 star review - that should be reserved for excellence. Like I said, the food was not bad, but the whole experience left us annoyed. They could have fired the orders so that they areived together, and they could have communicated with us. This whole review would be totally different if they...
Read moreI regret to say that my experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing and uncomfortable, especially due to what I perceived as discriminatory treatment.
For the first time in my dining experiences in Vienna, I decided not to pay the service fee. It was an entirely unpleasant visit. If you are Asian and sensitive to subtle forms of discrimination, I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. Dining should be an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone, and unfortunately, this establishment fell far short of that...
Read moreThe host is extremely disrespectful. We did not notice that you should wait at the entrance, we came inside, because there was no one at the reception and the place was not full. We came inside and the host reprimanded us for looking around instead of waiting for him, then he prioritized all the other people, who came after us, without reservation too, then he took a phone call and only after that, he accompanied us to a table, which was dirty from the previous guests. We got sitted, but the mood was spoiled, we decided to have a glass of wine and leave. As soon as we have got the wine, he came to us and asked us to relocate. We refused, because we wanted just to finish the drinks and leave, and we already felt bad about how we are treated there. It escalated quickly, he said that it is not our restaurant and he made unpleasant remarks like "I dont know where are you coming from". This is the worst service in my life. In fact we have never had such a rude service in any country we have visited, not speaking about Austria, where people are usually very nice. P.s. the order of two drinks was very slow, if we got the drinks right away, we would have left fast, before this whole...
