Opern Schnitzel — Restaurant in Vienna

I had some bad experiences with this place, although the food is okay, but not the best (garbage compared to Berlin). The male staff (40+ year) here is very racist and male chauvinist. Whenever I have been here to order food with my boyfriend, he is white and I am Middle Eastern, we always get a very angry and rude service. They follow us with their eyes as if there is something wrong with us being together. We have experienced this from other Middle Eastern men, and one once asked me what my parents thought of me being with a white guy. I just answered they were happy with it, because then they would experience less problems. Whenever we buy separately from this Opern Schnitzelhaus we do not get this racist/male chauvinist treatment. The 40+ Middle Eastern/Turkish men here think they have the right to decide who Turkish/Middle Eastern women date. I'm sure they don't react that way if the girl is European and the guy is brown/black. So if you want to support racists, then buy your food from here. In the media we only hear about white people being racist, but the worst racists I have met were men of Middle Eastern/Indian origin. These types simply think they have more rights than women, and in my opinion they should open their shops in the Middle East or...

This place should be straight up boycotted. What do you mean by you only accept card payments if the order is more than 6eur. Its not like your card payment system isnt working. I literally watched the cashier lady key in the nunbers on the device when I changed my order to another order more than 7eur. Like what the hell. After the terrible service, eveything is just feels absolutely horrendous. And my friend paid with card when his order was 6eur. At this point youre just being racist. Would have just left if I wasnt eating in a group.

in Vienna for the first time and was repeatedly encouraged to try schnitzel. I chose this place for the reviews and the price. They only serve chicken schnitzel and it was crispy and flavorful. It is served with fries and ketchup/mayo/lemon. If you scrape your fork across the crust, you will hear it! They serve super fast. It was so good I actually came twice and left my plate clean. Extra sauce is extra and if you’re into spice, they have Tabasco.
