My recent dining experience at Stöckl im Park in Vienna was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled within a serene park setting, the restaurant offers a perfect blend of picturesque ambiance and exquisite cuisine that makes for an unforgettable visit.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the attentive and friendly staff, who made us feel right at home. The cozy and charming interior, coupled with the lovely outdoor seating, provided a delightful atmosphere for our meal.
We started our culinary journey with the classic pork schnitzel accompanied by a flavorful potato salad. The schnitzel was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. The potato salad was a refreshing complement, balancing the richness of the schnitzel with its tangy and creamy dressing.
The grilled salmon was another highlight of our meal. Cooked to perfection, the salmon was moist and flaky, with a deliciously crisp skin. The accompanying sides and garnishes were well-chosen, enhancing the overall flavor profile of the dish.
To accompany our meal, we indulged in their house-brewed beers, which were absolutely delightful. Each variety we tried had a unique and robust flavor, showcasing the skill and craftsmanship of their brewers. Whether you prefer a light, refreshing beer or a rich, full-bodied one, Stöckl im Park has something to satisfy every palate.
We rounded off our meal with a pot of rose-hip tea, which was the perfect soothing conclusion to a delightful dining experience. The tea was fragrant and soothing, providing a gentle finish to our meal.
Overall, Stöckl im Park offers a harmonious blend of delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful setting. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this restaurant is a must-visit in Vienna. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their delightful menu offerings...
Read moreOne of the worst managed, overpriced tourist traps in Vienna. It was about half full and yet the waiter wasn't able to bring one beer for more than 20 minutes. We were lucky enough to get our starters, which were disappointing at best. 30 minutes after ordering our main dishes he had the audacity to ask if anything was missing, we could only reply with "yes, our food". From that moment on he wasn't seen again. Another 30 minutes later another waiter wanted to bring us our food, but it was too late, as we had tickets for an event. (we spent almost 2 hours at that restaurant). When we payed he had no clue what we have had and what wasn't delivered, so we had to tell him what to do. Going to any "Würstelstand" and sitting in a park is 100 out of 100 times a better experience than going to this excuse for a restaurant, considering they do not seem to be interested to serve food to potential customers.
Additional Information: September 22nd, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. 4 people. Drinks: Apple Juice, Sparkling Water, Radler and Märzen. Starters: Kürbiscremesuppe, Frittatensuppe and Hirschschinken. Main Dishes: Spinatstrudel, Kalbsschnitzel, Cordon Bleu and Portion Stelze. First table outside on the Terrasse next to the door, close to the stairs. We complained to the waiter serving our table and the waiter who brought us the food at 7:20 pm. Now you can come to the conclusion yourself, that it took over an hour to bring...
Read moreAbsolutely no sense for customer service, purely money driven owners/management and rude staff - food at best average.
Exceptionally unfriendly and inhospitable.
This restaurant is completely mismanaged. When you arrive at the entrance you are being directly categorized into well or badly paying customer. Questions being asked: Did you make a reservation? - (by the way, the restaurant is completely empty) - Fo how many persons? Do you want to eat or drink only? After these 3 questions you are either given a seat inside the restaurant or directly next to entrance/exit. If you dare to ask for a better table inside the restaurant, you will be denied with the words: unfortunately they all tables are reserved, even though during your whole stay the occupancy won't rise above 20%. If you try to make a reservation for the same day at this place, you will be told they don't make reservations for the same day.
But the staffs always saves the best things for last: Should you spend more than 1.5 hours at the restaurant (doesn't matter if you have consumed drinks, a main dish and deserts) the waiter will visit you at the table and politely ask you to finish, since the table is reserved. This service we have never ever received at any other place - exceptionally unfriendly and...
