I’m writing this review at the bar right now because I didn’t allow the bartender to refuse my patronage. This place seems to pick and choose who they want to serve. I walked in at 9:40 pm I barely got past the door and the bartender says. “Hi, sorry we’re busy” and shrugs. Never in my life have I ever been told “we’re busy” from an open bar during prime time business hours. I look around and there’s two seats open AT THE BAR. I walk out and stay outside and see a guy walk in. Then another, then another, and another. I walk back in and the same bartender who said we’re busy allowed them to walk in and get service. She sees me in the walkway and strugs again. After seeing two more people walk in, I walk in and have a seat at the bar. She sees me this time and asks me if I want a beer. I say yes, sit down and drink a beer at the bar and watch as no other person who walks in afterwards is refused service. I also write this review right in...
Read moreSadly was turning away non-locals, although admittedly football fans were in full force.
However, to be blunt, our group are generally pretty quiet and avoid football fans as best we can and try to find smaller local places like this and we were turned away being quiet and not wearing football shirts/shorts/bucket hats etc as well, being told it was full when it was clearly not.
We did go on a Sunday afternoon/early evening when we were the only small group (5 people) in the venue apart from a small group of 4 locals when we had a couple of beers and cokes to be told we were being too loud. Maybe it’s a cultural think but certainly weren’t ‘loud’.
