We stopped by Shakespeare Baku randomly for some coffee after a long walk and were immediately drawn to the place ,it looked nice and lively. We absolutely loved their St. Sebastian cake; it’s hands down the best I’ve tried so far. The coffee was okay, and the lady staff who attended us after the unpleasant situation was also nice and hospitable. However, our experience was completely overshadowed by one male staff member. My brother asked him a few questions about a drink, and instead of patiently answering or checking, he became visibly angry, muttered in his language to the other staff and shouting in their language , and started staring at us. When my brother asked for clarification again, he left angrily yelling and refused to take our order instead sent that lady, and humiliated us in front of other guests. It’s unfortunate, because we genuinely loved the place and wanted to return for the cake, but this incident left a lasting negative impression. Management should address this , there is always a professional way to handle guest queries, no matter the situation and moreover there was a language barrier as there were barely people speaking in English .. even the restaurant staffs, hotel staff, tour guides or even taxi drivers can barely converse...

The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions. I tried the salmon crepe and San Sebastian cheesecake with an Americano, and it was delish! I wished I could have ordered more, but it was just breakfast. The food I ordered already made me full.
The staff were extremely attentive, quick, polite, and respectful. Very well trained and very professional staff. Thank you, Akram, for your assistance.
