It may not seem like much from the outside but this place pleasantly surprised us in the best way possible. From the decor, to the service, to the food, quite honestly one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. I only wish we had time to try everything on the menu!

We sat at the sushi counter so got to see all the sushi being made. We grabbed a couple cocktails which were delicious and beautifully presented, and then got the edamame and spicy shrimp for starters which both came out fresh and hot with great portion sizes. We then had the Crunchy Tuna Truffle Roll and the the Sunset Dreams Roll. I also got the the unagi (eel) nigiri with apple. Everything was superb and the flavor and quality of the fish was fabulous.

10/10 recommend. The place can be a bit busy so it might be good to grab a reservation. They also asked about dietary restrictions at the start so I believe they are able to accomodate some allergies and preferences but always good to talk to your server for...

Firstly, I am regular customer, I both dine in and order out regularly, the staff knows my face and can vouch for me as a good and consistent customer. I enjoy the food at Oku sushi tremendously however, the recent update that has taken way the ability to place a phone order is deeply upsetting! Though unusual in the year 2025, I still personally prefer to pay in cash, additional the online interface isn’t even good! It asked if I was done after every individual item was placed in the cart, and I was not able to make specifications regarding some of the items I placed in the cart like I am typically able to do over the phone. I had a long day, and I was excited to partake in my regular routine if playing an order but I was unable to do so. I drove to Oku, placed my order in person and had to wait for it to be made, just very...

Oku Sushi was hands down my favorite sushi spot in the Bahamas! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious – my favorites were the tuna tostadas, salmon ceviche, tiger roll, edamame, gyoza, salmon and tuna rolls… honestly, everything we tried was amazing.

The ambience is perfect – relaxing music and a cozy vibe, which made it the ideal spot to unwind after a day at the beach. We loved it so much that we came back three times during our stay, and every visit was consistently excellent.

A special shoutout to Luis, who runs the place – he was so kind and even made my birthday extra special! The sushi chefs were incredibly welcoming, and the servers were just as wonderful.

Don’t miss the cocktails – the Lychee Spirits and Spicy Melon were my favorites. 🍸

This place is truly a gem, and I can’t wait...

When we arrived, there was a host at the door. He started for a little rusty but quickly turned on his hospitality charm. It seemed to be a busy night and their service team seemed very overwhelmed. To the point where didn’t remember to introduce them selves or give recommendations. Non the less we are familiar with eating Asian Japanese style food, so it was not hard for us to figure out what we wanted, but from time to time we asked our Server for recommendations on other items like what would they think would be the best item on their menu. The drinks were very nice and refreshing. We had mocktails and some cocktails. However, the cocktails were the win for me. Perfectly balance and hydrating at the same time. I would recommend trying it once at least for the food and drinks experience.
