I visited Steak & Marrow last night at their Banani outlet (Road 11, Block F) and honestly, it was a great experience from start to finish.
I didn’t go for the big platters this time. I tried their basic chicken steak platter with mashed potato, along with a bowl of soup and one of their signature mocktails.
The food was really fresh and full of flavour. The chicken steak was grilled perfectly—juicy, soft, and had that nice smokey taste.
The mashed potato was creamy and smooth, not too buttery, just the way I like it. The soup was warm and comforting, and the drink was refreshing too.
Even though I didn’t order the big steaks like Tomahawk or Rib-eye, I could feel the quality and passion they put into even the simple items.
The best part? The ambience. The restaurant has a cowboy-themed interior with wooden walls, red booths, and warm lights.
It really felt like a classic Western steakhouse in the middle of Dhaka. I felt very comfortable and connected—almost like this place was made for people who love steaks and that rugged cowboy feel.
The hospitality was amazing. The staff were polite, smiling, and made sure I felt at home. They were patient while I took time to decide my order, and they even suggested some items for my next visit.
For the price, I would say it’s definitely value for money, especially in a premium location like Banani. You don’t have to spend too much to enjoy a proper steakhouse vibe here.
This place is great for:
• Steak lovers in Dhaka
• Anyone who wants a cozy, themed dine-in experience in Banani
• Casual lunch or dinner with friends
• Trying out affordable steak platters without breaking the bank
In short, I really enjoyed my meal and overall time here. If you're looking for a good steak restaurant in Dhaka—whether for premium steaks or just a chill evening with good food—Steak & Marrow is worth checking out.
I’ll definitely come back to try the Premium Sirloin or Tribal Feast next time with my cousins and friends...
Read moreApart from the ribs and the chicken, they messed up every single kind of steak in the Carnivorous Feast platter. The sirloin steak lacked seasoning and tasted bland and was chewy like chewing on rubber. The tenderloin steak was absolutely horrible. It had an almost alkaline flavor and smelled bad. When we asked them to season it and redo it, they gave it to us back with a lot of salt which made it even worse. The mac and cheese was good, mashed potatoes were good but not great. The garlic rice and Mexican rice were really bland. The only characteristic they had were that the garlic rice smelled of garlic and the Mexican rice was spicy. That’s it. Nothing more to the rices. The cheesy poutine was mediocre. The ribs were great, the sauces were good, the chicken was good. Will not try it again. There was some kind of potato dish in the platter which was unrecoverable even with sauces. The coca cola was the only reason my friends and I could survive the whole meal. Unless you get the ribs, don’t go there. But I don’t whether the ribs were actually great or just great in comparison to the rest of the items, but the ribs were really really good. So only go there if you want the ribs. Get the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes as sides,...
Read moreEvery time someone mentions steak, there’s only one place that instantly comes to mind for me—steak & marrow. It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience that has set the gold standard in my palate for what a perfect steak should taste like. The consistency in flavor, tenderness, and presentation is something that I’ve rarely found anywhere else.
Whether it’s the rich marbling on their ribeye or the perfectly seared crust on their filet mignon, steak & marrow has a way of locking in flavor that feels like culinary muscle memory—it never fails. Every bite feels like a reminder of why I love steak in the first place. That deep, savory umami hit, balanced seasoning, and the exact doneness I ask for, every single time—it’s remarkable how they’ve maintained that standard over the years.
I’ve been to steakhouses across the region, but there’s a certain trust and emotional recall I have with steak & marrow. It’s become the benchmark, and honestly, it’s hard for others to even come close. When I think steak, I think steak & marrow . That’s how deep the connection runs. Service provided...
