ANTOON VAN DYCK BRASSERIE — Restaurant in Antwerp

We went on a day trip to Antwerp from Brussels. After arriving at Antwerp centre train station, we walked towards the Main Street. Then we found this restaurant. It is so beautiful, and it attracted our attention. Therefore, we decided to give it a try.

It serves Delicious Belgian cuisine. It is in the heart of Antwerp, great location. For anyone visiting Antwerp, it would be a good choice.

We had seafood gratin which was today’s suggestion. We enjoyed it very much. The food and the service were both very good. We highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed!

Next time if we go to Antwerp again, we will have to try their dessert. The waffle...

I tried their warm apple pie and lemon tea with milk. The apple pie was too sweet, the apples weren't tart enough to balance out the sugar, and the crust was too thick. It also wasn't spiced too well, just a tad bit of cinnamon.

As for the service, there was probably some miscommunication, as I ended up receiving a lipton tea sachet with a slice of lemon and no milk... The waitresses also didn't bring us any cutlery even after serving the food, until I got up and asked.

I have got my steak with potato crockets. Taste was okay. Wine was very good but a bit overpriced.

And here are some disadvantages: I asked for the stake type between "Done" - "Well done" and it was actually row meet in the middle of each stake. The service was bad. Waitress took my 1/3 plate with crockets. I didn't expect that. And I was pretty sad because of it. Also the table was very dirty. You can see the picture. I have been sitting a long time with the shit and paddles on the table.
