Mariello — Restaurant in Antwerp

Me and my son were following google maps, after we had sat down at a different restaurant and were treated quite rudely. We ended up finding this absolute gem of a restaurant. The staff were so welcoming, super friendly, suggested all the right things. The restaurant is super clean, incredibly tastefully decorated, with big windows and a massive sliding door opening up to the area outside, providing fresh air and twinkly lights. Their homemade peach iced tea is beautifully presented, refreshing and very tasty. We shared a margarita pizza and it was super fresh, just perfect. Staff was perfection, suggesting which drink would go well with our choice of food, choice of desert and generally, just superb. They know what they are doing and they deserve every good thing coming their way.

Definitely worth a note, albeit an odd one for some, but: The bathroom was super clean AND they offered a quite generous selection of feminine hygiene products, which really was impressive. I hadn't seen that yet and for this to be so neatly presented, wow. Just wow ♥

We wanted to host a surprise party for our friend and let me tell you, the team here went above & beyond!

Food? Incredible Drinks? They have ALL the options Dietary restrictions? They’ve got you covered Dessert? Yes, yes, yes!

For our surprise party we had a range of starters (meat & Veggie), we had 4 different kind of pizza flavours that were delicious! In our pre-set menu we opted for 2 drinks (Aperol Spritz or Prosseco) per person, and as dessert we had the vegan chocolate chip cookies that I’m still dreaming about. Since it was so much food, people even took them home as little souvenirs.

Dunya was absolutely wonderful. She emailed & texted me to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. She & rest of the team (and chef) made this the best surprise.

The attention to detail… they had balloons & streamers up, decorated the table with flowers & hand written menus… THANK YOU

I want to share how much we enjoyed our visits to this lovely place. The first time we came was completely unplanned—a spur-of-the-moment decision. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was impeccable, leaving such a great impression on us. It’s no surprise that the second time we came, it was very much planned! We returned specifically for the outstanding food and the exceptional service that made us feel so welcome the first time. Every dish was full of authentic flavors, crafted with care and attention to detail. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience, making us feel like valued guests.
