Arsouille — Restaurant in Brussels

Came here for a weekday lunch and there were a lot of clients with 2 staff so service was slow.

I ordered the ginger lemonade (4,5€) and the meatball with pasta (17€). I was quite disappointed with how things tasted for the price I paid: I didn't have the taste of ginger to my lemonade at all. It was a lemonade with a slice of ginger inside. Then the meatballs were very hard and dry and the entire dish needed more balanced flavor. I didn't get to finish my plate because I just couldn't. ☹️ maybe I was just unlucky on the day when I came. I took a dessert to go, the dark chocolate rectangle and this was moist and delicious, it was sweeter than I expected for a dark chocolate thing but it was still good when paired with coffee or tea to cut the sugar.

The staff were nice though and the restaurant was spacious and bright. I would come back maybe for cookies and coffee/tea but...

great place for kids, bad food. Let me explain: Brussels doesn't have a great choice of restaurants or cafés for kids, so this is great addition of a kid friendly place in the city centre I've tried several things on the menu, they try to make all their meals sound very well thought of, bio, organic, yada yada. Everything I've tried has been incredibly bland. It's like the chef hasn't heard of salt, nevermind spices. Also everything is overcooked. And it's relatively pricey.
