recently had the pleasure of dining at Nightshop in Brussels and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel like I was in the heart of New York City. The food at Nightshop was absolutely divine. Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. I especially loved the unique twist on classic dishes that the chef presented. The menu was diverse and offered something for everyone, from hearty meat dishes to delicious vegetarian options. Not only was the food exceptional, but the interior of Nightshop was also stunning. The sleek and modern decor made me feel like I was dining in a trendy New York City restaurant. The attention to detail in every aspect of the design was truly impressive. Last but certainly not least, the staff at Nightshop were extraordinary. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate any special requests made me feel like a valued guest. Overall, I cannot recommend Nightshop enough. It is truly a hidden gem in Brussels and I will definitely be returning in the future. Five stars all around!

Altogether nice experience, especially in terms of service and athmosphere. The staff was very attentive and proactive. The athmosphere was very intimate, which is a nice feat considering the big room offers place for an estimated 60 couverts, not cordoned off into separate areas. Acoustics were also impressive, as the space seemed like it would get noisy, but instead all was fine. Food was innovative and the flavors were great, except for the fact that all dishes we had were extremely salty. The roasted veal was not just salty, the salt overpowered the entire experience of the dish sadly. To a lesser extent, this also holds for the bbq pigeon, which was better, but still other flavors were held back by the salt content. I’m kind of afraid whether this is an inherent problem, as the same intensity problem can be found in the natural wines, given the ones we tasted were so expressive in any random note that subtle flavours vanished from the profile. Thus, while the food and wine intrinsically contained all the elements for a varied, balanced and diverse flavour experience, none of these outcomes were ultimately attained.

Nightshop is a gem- from the welcoming atmosphere to the curated seasonal menu and excellent wine selection, it’s a place that knows how to please customers. The service was top-notch; the waitstaff were attentive, knowledgeable, and most importantly - quick. We started with some sort of velvety pumpkin purée, garnished with croutons, fresh herbs, and an oeuf perfait- it was rich, creamy, and very well-balanced. The terrine was dense and flavorful, with a good mix of textures. The main course featured a tender, perfectly cooked cut of meat, but it was the mashed potatoes with wild mushroom sauce that truly stole the show. The potatoes were whipped to perfection, smooth and creamy, and the mushroom cream added an intense, woodsy richness The only small misstep was the whipped butter mixed with olive oil served with the bread (why oh why, leave the butter alone!) . However, this minor "blasphemy" was easily forgiven considering the otherwise flawless dining experience. It’s a place worth revisiting, especially that the menu is seasonal.

everything was perfect! the atmosphere is great, it looks like they "don't care with boxes and bycicles as part of the place" but just enough to look cool and vibes, which works. I arrived early around 7 just dropped by without a reservation and shannah was kind and found a spot for me, yey. I was really curious to try it! the music was a bit low imo when I arrived but I imagine it's because the place was still quiet? still, I would have love to hear nicely the great playlist it was playing - I would love the spotify link btw if it is on spotify!! the music got a bit louder as the place got busier so it might be that. the food was really yummy overall: bread and butter and orange wine all perfect way to start my dinner with, the cured sardines were good, not great, but good, simple flavours. the veal tartare...what can I say? that's what I sat on that counter for. it blew my f mind. hands down to the chef and the whole BOH team! such beautiful work. but let's talk about the stars of my dinner: shannah and the choc mousse! where to start from? shannah was always kind, attentive, clear communication about times on the table and dishes without being pushy, connected with me, which it's always sweet and one can appreciate when dining solo. I'm a fan! can only wish the best and hope she is well paid, treated kindly by her boss and peers, truly enjoys her work and has some fun while doing it! 🙌 the mousse...... well well well! it is always a huge pleasure to me when the dessert is the star of the dinner because it's not common from my experience. IT WAS DIVINE! the warm chocolate that melts in your mouth, the ice-cream below and the buckwheat crumble giving it crunch that you always knew you needed in a mousse but chefs just wouldn't give it to you, and then voilà !!!!!!! Chefs kiss!!! Truly a night we'll spent! Big...

Very unpleasant welcome, we arrived at 19:15, when the lady came to us she told that it wasn't possible to stay cause there were a lot of people waiting everywhere and in an hour they'd have finished all the food. We were aware that it was Saturday night, we wanted to try anyway even if you can't book a table, but they didn't propose us an alternative, neither made us feel welcome. Last detail, if your kitchen closes at 21h (as you write on your Instagram page) you can't say clients that at 20h you have run out food. Not professional.

Answer to the owner: We understand your réflexion and what you're trying to say, but it's not what I meant, and honestly don't understand why you write that "you saved me from disappointment". We arrived and at least 4 people of your staff saw us and nobody said anything, no 'good evening' or something else, we really felt unwelcome. After some time someone came to us and after the waitress arrived and said us that it was a lot of people waiting so there was no way to sit before an hour and at that the moment you would have run out of food. It was 19:15. I'm sorry but this was what happened, and you can't call yourself a restaurant and say that you have no food anymore at 20 pm when your kitchen closes at 21 pm. This is what I call unprofessional, sorry. We accepted that the place was full, no disappointment about that (at the beginning I haven't recognised people waiting and then the lady showed me) the disappointment was about feeling unwelcome and the attitude of your team. I understand that you don't care at the moment cause you're full but this attitude doesn't make people feel like coming again and try...

My friends and I had looked so much forward to visiting Nightshop but unfortunately we had such a disappointing experience.

We were rushed through the entire meal. I think we were served all the five different courses within 45 minutes. We were expecting a long and pleasant evening with lots of different wine and foods. But because of the rush, we only got to finish the first bottle and then all the food had been served. Because of this, we did not have time to go out for a cigarette within the meals or just simply relax before the next course.

The waiters also forgot our orders on both food and wine. However, they were very nice and apologized, so no hard feelings - just a bit disappointing as we spent such a long time on waiting by the table...

Also, the food did not live up to our expectations at all. None of us think that six sardines on a plate should count as a course. The same goes for a basket of bread and especially for four boiled potatoes on a plate. We did not believe our eyes.

The servings were also extremely small. We were five people and made sure to order more of the same courses, but we still left the place hungry. Maybe we should have just gotten more information on how much to order? But the prices did not reflect this at all.

After all, the vibe was great and the place surely is trendy but the experience was super...
