Incredibly rude service, and actively excluding those who do not or cannot drink alcohol. Two of my friends and I ordered a round of beers and then two other friends met us later. The server was annoyed that the two friends who just arrived wanted to look at the menu before ordering and was furious when they tried to order sodas because they didn't want to drink alcohol. We asked why weren't we allowed to order soda when it is listed on the menu. She said its for children (even though its not on a children's section of the menu). Then she kicked us all out when our friends wouldn't change their order to beer. She was visibly annoyed and sighing while we put on our coats to leave and paid for the drinks we had already had. Thank god our friends met us later or we might have ordered additional rounds of drinks.
I also want to point out that there are people who cannot drink alcohol for personal or health reasons and they should never be made to feel ashamed for this or be excluded from spending time with their friends who do drink alcohol, as long as they are paying customers (which includes those who order non-alcoholic drinks). This is not just a matter of her being rude, but actively discriminating against certain demographics of people who do not or cannot drink alcohol. To save time for everyone, maybe the owners should put a sign in the window saying alcoholics, those taking medications that interfere with alcohol, or any other person unable or unwilling to drink alcohol are not welcome in their...
Read moreMale server was very friendly and told us where to get some great food. Husband went and got it while I ordered a flight. Kids sat down with us with Starbucks drinks and we ate the food and enjoyed the decent flight of beer. We were packing up to leave(putting the snacks and Starbucks in a separate bag to take with us so as not to leave for them since they don’t serve any food) and a very angry lady(manager I think) came out to scream at us as we were standing up that we weren’t allowed to have food, in front of an entire crowd of full tables that we had just sat with for nearly 45 minutes. Very odd, since the man literally directed us to the food, and we were leaving when she came out. Def put a sour taste in our mouth and ruined our experience as at any point they could have just told us and we would have apologized and left as we were not aware we were causing in offense while several servers walked past us with only smiles…weird way to speak to paying customers in a burst of rage after they had been there for so long versus just to let us know when we brought the food that the other employee has directed us too.
Side note, they do request payment(you have to follow them inside) at the time they bring out beer and they DID take credit cards.
The low rating purely reflects the angry woman who irrationally yelled at our family in a public setting instead of addressing her issue in a professional or...
Read moreStay away from this place!
We wanted to have a drink, at around 21:30 and when we ordered (after already waiting long enough since we were just in front of the waiter) she just told us we could not order “softs” basically saying we had to order beer/alcohol. May I remind you that this is not legal at all to do!!! Since the waiter also had a slurred speech we did not understand her and we thought she was joking and she just left, not giving some extra info or asking what we would want to drink instead! After 10 minutes another waiter showed up and we again asked to order, she then confirmed we could not order softs and had to order beer (again, this is not a legal practice!) The other waiter was just rolling her eyes from behind her bar and making fun of us in French (she probably assumed we were tourists and wouldn’t be able to understand french)
So please , if you are a tourist, go to a place where they at least respect you, and know that they can not refuse you drinking a soft or something...
