Café De Hallen🍺 — Restaurant in Brussels

During warmer evening it gets super busy and the waiting times get unbearable. I sat down one June evening to one of the empty tables, chose my drink and then waited 20 minutes until someone asked me what did I want. In the meantime I saw several people get annoyed by the waiting times and leave. One pair was leaving as the bartender was bringing them two large Stellas that they ordered a while ago and were in no mood to wait for anymore. They refused the beer and left. Well anyway, about 10 minutes later I managed to get my order in (a large Stella). When I got it 5 minutes later, the beer was crossing the 0.5l line by quite a bit and was significantly warmer than a fresh Stella on tap is supposed to be. There is not a shadow of doubt in my mind that I got the Stella that was refused by their original recipients 15 minutes before. I come from a country that values beer and all bartenders and tapsters I know would rather cut off their arm than do something like that. Go elsewhere, there are plenty of decent options...

Como es posible que en un lugar donde cobran 6€ o más por una Jara de cerveza en el baño te cobran otros 50 céntimos para ir a mear? No te dan para picar ni patatas, tapas o aceitunas. No me sorprende que se foran con el mal servicio y los altos precios. El lugar tendrá su glamur y encantó pero solo con eso se hecha a perder todo. No me voy a entrar. Allá vosotros... After reading the response - I am more convinced about what I wrote in Spanish. I have been to many bars and cafés in Brussels. All have a toilet and most of them do not charge, or at least give customer the possibility to use them. I am not concerned about the price but about the arrogance of the answer. Please consider your customer facing service :) The beer though was good, no claims. However, as a tourist - I usually pay with a credit card and I don't have 50 cents in my pocket. I will raise the rating...

Would not recommend - There were two incompetent and rude employees , one wore a black hoodie with thing golden glass frames - asked him for two chairs since there was a table without any , he replied “your problem” even though there are 4 stacks of chairs outside, the other special one did the following - served my friend in front of me and casually shushed me off by holding up a finger , calmly making a coffee in front of me , siping it and serving other people, just two amazing individual’s … on the contrary the person that served me (wore classic glasses , black button shirt and black tie, tattoo on the right arm) was very fast and nice.
