My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place and decided to eat here after reading the menu outside. We sat down right away on a Tuesday night at about 7 pm and the place filled rather quickly all with locals. We were given olives and bread to eat while we looked at the menu, I ordered a bellini for 7.50 Euros and it was delicious but was not made with fresh peaches. For the main dish I got the lasagna with goat cheese and truffle sauce and it was to die for. I recommend it to everyone. And at 17.50 Euros it was a steal because most places are much more expensive or the same for lower quality food. Their prices were about 10 Euros and up for dinner with plenty of options. My boyfriend and I were so impressed with the outstanding quality of our dinners and especially at such a wonderful price. We got the tiramisu for dessert and it was a very generous amount perfect for sharing, no need to order seperate desserts if on a date. All desserts were under 9 Euros. The tiramisu was brought to us by the owner or manager, not sure exactly but he was very happy to give it to us and looked pleased that we enjoyed our meal. The service was great as well, at first thought the waiter was a bit rude because he was so short but really they were just quite busy, he was very fast and did a great job, he was actually a very nice guy. Atmosphere was also very warm and pleasant, many locals enjoying each others company and great food. I recommend this place to anyone who comes to Brussels....
Read moreMy family and I visited the restaurant on Friday the 25th of January 2019 and I am bitterly disappointed with the level of service received and how we were treated.
As soon as we sat at the table, we were offered two types of menus, one being an “a la carte” and the other one being a “lunch” set menu.
However, after a few minutes another waiter came and took back the “set menu” from us saying that it was a “corporate deal” menu which we were not entitled to. I was confused as the menu he took away from us clearly stated “lunch menu 12-2pm”.
A few minutes later some other people walked in the restaurant and they were offered the “lunch set” menu to my surprise. So I really don’t understand why the waiter told us it was a “corporate event” only menu and when we challenged him, he changed his excuse to “the other customers have booked in advance”. This smacks of incompetence and has a strong tone of tourist scam written all over.
