My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place and decided to eat here after reading the menu outside. We sat down right away on a Tuesday night at about 7 pm and the place filled rather quickly all with locals. We were given olives and bread to eat while we looked at the menu, I ordered a bellini for 7.50 Euros and it was delicious but was not made with fresh peaches. For the main dish I got the lasagna with goat cheese and truffle sauce and it was to die for. I recommend it to everyone. And at 17.50 Euros it was a steal because most places are much more expensive or the same for lower quality food. Their prices were about 10 Euros and up for dinner with plenty of options. My boyfriend and I were so impressed with the outstanding quality of our dinners and especially at such a wonderful price. We got the tiramisu for dessert and it was a very generous amount perfect for sharing, no need to order seperate desserts if on a date. All desserts were under 9 Euros. The tiramisu was brought to us by the owner or manager, not sure exactly but he was very happy to give it to us and looked pleased that we enjoyed our meal. The service was great as well, at first thought the waiter was a bit rude because he was so short but really they were just quite busy, he was very fast and did a great job, he was actually a very nice guy. Atmosphere was also very warm and pleasant, many locals enjoying each others company and great food. I recommend this place to anyone who comes to Brussels....

My family and I visited the restaurant on Friday the 25th of January 2019 and I am bitterly disappointed with the level of service received and how we were treated.

As soon as we sat at the table, we were offered two types of menus, one being an “a la carte” and the other one being a “lunch” set menu.

However, after a few minutes another waiter came and took back the “set menu” from us saying that it was a “corporate deal” menu which we were not entitled to. I was confused as the menu he took away from us clearly stated “lunch menu 12-2pm”.

A few minutes later some other people walked in the restaurant and they were offered the “lunch set” menu to my surprise. So I really don’t understand why the waiter told us it was a “corporate event” only menu and when we challenged him, he changed his excuse to “the other customers have booked in advance”. This smacks of incompetence and has a strong tone of tourist scam written all over.

I am an established senior member of Trip Advisor and travel all over Europe to enjoy the different culinary delights of European countries. I have never felt that a restaurant could scam...

The food at Spago is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing both creativity and a deep understanding of culinary traditions. The menu features an exquisite blend of Italian and European influences, with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re indulging in their perfectly executed pasta dishes or savoring the delectable seafood options, every bite is a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs.

The wine list is also impressive, offering a wide selection of both local and international wines, expertly curated to complement the menu. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and guided us to the perfect pairing for our meal.

Overall, dining at Spago is a truly memorable experience. It is the perfect place for any occasion, whether it’s a romantic dinner, a celebration, or a special night out with friends. I highly recommend Spago to anyone looking for exceptional food, service, and an unforgettable atmosphere in Brussels. I can’t...

Was recommended this restaurant. Upon arrival was meet with the not so cheerful Enzo. He was rude, curt & we really should have left but due to adverse wet weather we stayed!!! The delivery of drinks was made by a very nice friendly waiter. Then the food was delivered by Enzo. No attempt to place the food to the person it was place across person ( there was room to get to each person). The pizza was nice albeit uncut. The pasta was cold & tasteless. When we left all the plates were still full & in a decent restaurant you would get asked if there was something wrong!! Naww not with Spago. Spago stop sitting people outside to make the restaurant look busier. Enzo maybe customer facing jobs is not for you. Possible a behind the scenes in the kitchen! A complete waste of €124. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant.

After a few days worth of Belgian specialties, we just had a craving for pasta. Our Google maps scan of the area gave us this place - other places around here with good reviews were closed on Mondays. Okay decor, has a bit of a chain restaurant feel. We ordered fried calamari as an entree, if you made me blind taste test this dish, I would have bet the farm that it was onion rings, not calamari. My pals went the classical route, with Amatriciana and Carbonara, I tried a meatball in mushroom sauce dish. Pasta was fine, cooked al dente, my dish didn't make a lot of sense, but it was okay. Limited wine selection, I liked that they have lambrusco by the glass, but our Tuscan red was too warm. Overall, it fulfilled our craving, but wasn't anything earth shattering. Good place to go with picky eaters and kids.
