Read moreAlways... But ALWAYS good. It's one of the little restaurants I always like to turn back. Practically speaking: good price, good portion size (even for gourmands) and of course, good taste!
In general, I like the way they cook.
I've been te so many times and I think I've tried almost everything. No complaints. And it deserves dedicating a bit time to write this review.
Some recommendations:
My favorites are duck dishes, but all he others are very tasty as well. If you're fan of ramen style... Don't miss de duck one "Soup nouilles sautées au cannard (laqué)". -all types of rice also very very good! fresh spring rolls (the unfried ones) - my favourite, but he fried ones are also great. the dish with nuts, or sweet-sawery (with pineapple), or with coconut sauce, etc.
Hints: when comes to level of spiciness, they take care of this aspect by considering european spicy style (not asiatic one). warm Sake goes just perfect with most of the dishes and they have a good-ish Sake.
Conclusion: is a type of restaurant where you want tu turn back. It's always a safe choice (once you enjoy Vietnamese...
Read moreWe passed this restaurant on our way to another restaurant… but we decided that we liked Le lotus blue more. Coincidently the lady was at the door which looked liked she was just waiting for us. She gave us a window seat which we really enjoyed. On top of that the lady could speak Dutch which Is quite rare in Brussels, but made us very happy!
The menu has a great variety of Vietnamese and other asian dishes. I system with a vegetable soup which was full with vegetables: very tasty! My main dish was chicken with cashew nuts. I really liked it, however some bites were just very salty. After having a close look to the cashew nuts, it seems salted cashews were added. Some nuts were just carrying too much salt which made some bites hard the process. Since the portion was sooooo big, I decided to skip the salted cashew and only eat chicken without any nuts. That worked perfectly!
All in all a great experience with this great restaurant....
