One of the worst restaurant experiences I had in a long time. The table was not cleaned by the staff, although it was obviously dirty. We got the menu, but no wine menu. (Not a actual problem, but not very thoughtful either.) However it took the waiter ages to get it. The bottle of white wine, I eventually ordered, didn't come in a cooler and was placed on the heater next to me, since the table was full with the first course. (wtf) The Moules-frites came without spoons. seriously... and when I asked for spoons the waiter didn't bring them.
Eventually the guy next to us - who came there (supposedly) with his wife - eventually got up and got them for us, since he also had a really bad experience there (both of them returned their main course.) since he wanted to make a point, as he said himself.
We had to wait ages for the bill.
I feel kinda snobbish to complain about a restaurant, since I don't really approve of complain in general, but seriously...if you really wanna make people feel, that it's worth to pay about 20 euros for one of your dishes, you have to do a hell of...
Read moreHere in the Le Cercle Des Voyageurs - Brasserie Mondo, located in the center of Old Town Brussels right next to the famous landmark Manneken pis, you feel a cosmopolitan atmosphere with an elegant ceiling depicting a map of the world and in the wall there are many suitcases, actually it is a wall of suitcases. The multilingual staff is friendly and willing to help, and recommend you various beers, so I took a fruit beer, actually two, one with peach flavor and another with raspberry flavor. There is wi-fi here at the Brasserie Mondo and there are even some sofas here to have an extended talks with friends or business partners. The international atmosphere here at the Brasserie Mondo contributes to this very nice and stylish experience. There is also many dishes in the menu I have to try the next time when I am in Brussels.

Read moreWay too expensive. I paid 6 euro for a 25 cl Blanche that was bad. I could not drink it, I just left it there. I drink white beer regularly but I did not know if it was the beer, if the beer vat had expired or if the tap tubes were dirty but it tasted acid and bad. After, in the new terrace of the place next door other friends ordered the same Blanche beer and it was good. So what they had served me it was really in bad state. Coffee was 3.50 euro, which is expensive but if is raining and it is difficult to find a café where you can sit for a moment could be ok. The rest was expensive and bad. The decoration is very nice but does not justify the prices and less the bad beer. I knew the beer did not taste as it should but a tourist will probably do not know and will leave with a bad and wrong idea aboit...
