Kaffabar — Restaurant in Brussels

While my time living in Brussels at the magnificent Place Rouppe, I saw the opening of The KaffabaR, used to park my car infront of this beautiful café but never got the opportunity in 4 years to visit. WHAT A PITY! Finally, i had my Kaffabar experience and absolutely Loved it! Probably, it was worth the wait! Excellent setting, very cosy lighting: Enough to work on your laptop which a lot of people do here, reminded me of the Berlin hipster culture and just enough to give you the relaxed discreet touch. Waffle greets you at the entrance! He belongs here without any doubt. There is a decent of choice of excellent origins and blends presented or i would say illustrated in a very simple way. MAKES THE EXPERIENCE OF CHOOSING THE EXCELLENT COFFEE SO MUCH EASIER. Tasting the coffee makes it clear why they won The Barista Awards. Hidden gem (not for th3 loacals). Ordered: ChocoEspressoBurst 5/5 just as described, a proper Burst of dark choclate flavours with a Espresso giving a full sourish & creamy blend. They know what they are doing & should be allowed to be taken on...

Amazing place. They stick to the basics of coffeemaking but perfected their art. The coffee is one of the best you can get in Brussels and they still offer a variety of other beverages. One Chai stood out in particular as it was exactly what I needed during the cold weather.

The food also looked very inviting and tasty. It is a bit pricy but from what I have seen definitely worth it.

Last I wanted to talk about the service. It was very friendly and fast. The atmosphere was really cozy yet stylish. On top of that they also have a friendly dog who seemed to be the center of attention for most visitors and a fun way to start a conversation with strangers passing by.

I would recommend this coffeeshop as it was my favorite one during my stay in Brussels. Even if you're not a dog person I think the quality of coffee should be a reason to visit...

Got off to a bad start as the table has a "number" in the middle of it. I couldn't make it out, by touch or by sight. You need to give the number when you place your order. It's a small metal disk in black . Old eyes . Anywho, ordered the wrong coffee, but loved what I got an espresso. Good food, I had the vegan banana bread which is augmented with seeds , lovely and crumbling. Very friendly staff, young and efficient. Lovely atmosphere, Saturday afternoon, families , dog owners, has a hip look and a certain je ne sais quio. Based in a wonderful community square, which has a book exchange opposite the café and a secure bike storage unit. Building work nearby. A good ebb and flow of folk. Thanks 😊.
