Dangerous staff – avoid this place!

This place is a joke. They proudly post signs in the women’s bathroom encouraging you to ask for Angela if you feel unsafe — but ironically, the real danger comes from their own staff, both men and women(the irony).

We were calmly finishing our drinks after paying when our waiter rudely told us to pay, even though other tables were still seated and we haven’t had finished our beer. We understood they were about to close, so we were just finishing up and preparing to go.

Five minutes later, another staff member suddenly started shouting insults at us, mocking us with things like “Are you homeless or something? Don’t you have a place to sleep?” and “Get out!” (Along with obvious swear words) Meanwhile, the waiter who had served us sat nearby, smoking and smiling enjoying the performance.

This staff member appeared intoxicated or possibly under the influence of something, and at first we weren’t even sure if he worked there. Things escalated quickly when he made racist comments toward our British friend, who calmly responded that we were just finishing and leaving. The man’s aggression escalated to the point that he looked ready to throw a punch. When our female friend respectfully asked him to stop, he ran toward her as if to physically attack her — luckily, others in our group held him back.

To make things worse, a female waitress, who seemed to be in a similar condition, laughed and told our British friend, “Don’t you dare speak to a Black person like that,” even though he had said nothing inappropriate.

Just wanting to reiterate a review my friend has already left. It was the most shocking customer service experience I’d ever seen. The waiter originally serving did the bare bare minimum a waiter is required. Then from his colleague we were asked to leave but instantly in a rude way. He came over banging chairs on the floor shouting, ‘ go home get out do you not have a home, oh you do then get out now , go go’. We were shocked by the rudeness and didn’t respond at first then he continued. There were still many other people still drinking at other tables so we questioned why they weren’t being kicked out, he got more rude so I shouted back at him mocking his rudeness and then he was swearing at me, mocking my country. Then a friend confronted his behaviour from across the table saying he needs to show more respect, then he proceeded to try and attack her. He was held back by multiple people. I have been to this bar numerous times and usually we have a great time there but today me and my friend had a very unpleasant experience. We tried to order two coffees at the bar since we were in a rush and were told that they have table service and we were supposed to wait at the table. After 20 minutes of waiting for a waiter to pass by our table while seeing people who came after us being served, i went up to the bar and told that we still have not been served. The bartender had a horrible attituded and said he would not serve me at the bar and remarked smirking that maybe our waiter is just too busy. After that we were being deliberately ignored. I asked several staff members on how to contact their manager and they just got started and would never get back to us.
