We visited Mr. Falafel for the first time tonight, and we’re so glad we did. Without exaggeration, this is some of the best falafel you’ll ever taste. The falafel is incredibly fresh, with a flavor profile that’s both subtle and bold - a perfect balance that makes every bite memorable.

One unique touch is you’re given a plate to sample the salads before your meal. This allows you to explore the variety of fresh ingredients available, and when the warm bread and falafel are served, you’re treated to another chance to customize your meal to your liking. It’s an interesting way to try out the food so you enjoy the full range of options while ensuring you leave completely satisfied.

While the interior is minimal and might not be as polished as other places, it more than compensates with its outstanding food quality and generous portions. This is therefore the perfect spot for falafel enthusiasts and first-timers alike.

Also, the owner is exceptionally welcoming and passionate about his craft. He’s happy to chat about what sets his food apart, particularly the freshness of the ingredients. His dedication and sincerity are evident, making the experience all the more enjoyable.

Food is good. But the person behind counter is a horrible and sad person, because he judges by color. I could sense that he had prejudice for me when I entered the shop.

At first he assumed I am only buying one salad between two people.

Then I felt the need of chilli sauce. I went to counter. And he gave me an angry look and said "No way". (He didn't say "No, we don't allow refills"..... Rather "No way")

But he gave me angry looks as if I intend to cheat him!

It was my first day in the country of Belgium and I formed a very very poor opinion of him, his fried falafel, his shop, and of his country. I didn't know the system of how falafel is sold in this country, he could have simply explained to me.

We had the absolute best falafel we've ever tried at Mr. Falafel! The taste was simply amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crispy on the outside while soft inside. Every bite was packed with authentic Middle Eastern flavor.

What really sets this place apart, though, is the wonderful service. The owner is incredibly polite, welcoming, and so accommodating. You can really tell they care about their customers and take pride in everything they do.
