Went here because a friend wanted to try Korean food while being vegetarian and they seemed to have a decent menu. I've now read reviews where the owners says they are not a Korean restaurant, but serve Korean fried chicken, 'bulgogi rice bowls',Soju/somaek, kimchi etc I have to think we went on an off day since so many reviews were positive but neither me nor the two others with me enjoyed their meals. I ordered the chicken bulgogi rice bowl which was very disappointing, chicken was dry and not very flavorful. The ingredients in the bowl were also confusing for me, they seemed to be going for a bibimbap style as I served gochujang sauce and an overcooked fried egg on my rice bowl but some other ingredients being edamame, kimchi alongside usuals as 'marinated' meat and bean sprouts seemed like an odd combination. My friends both ordered mapo tofu, one vegetarian and the other with pork and neither of them enjoyed it. My vegetarian friend remarked it was quite spicy and her suggestion was to add chilli indicators to the menu. Both were very oily and neither of them finished. We also ordered a side of kimchi which was very sour and almost sweet? We're used to kimchi in Korea and in European restaurants and this kimchi just tasted wrong. I give two stars because the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered beer and was told the fridge was broken so it wasn't going to be cold, and we were also offered ice if we'd like to help keep the drinks cool. The decor is also quite nice and it's overall very stylish. Very sad considering this place has such high reviews and we hope our experience was just one unfortunate day.

Came here yesterday for some nice dinner after a long day of school and work. Me and my friend come here regularly to enjoy some food. First of we had a very rude waiter. She didn’t say a thing. Nothing. I ordered and assumed she got it all. Then when we got our food which was boneless honey garlic chicken, 2 rice bowls and chicken spring rolls. We didn’t get our chicken spring rolls. And our boneless chicken had no sauce. There was the smallest amount on the bottom of the bowl. Our waitress handed out food and drinks without saying anything again, also not mentioning anything about the spring rolls coming later. Confused we took a couple of bites of our dinner and found it to be bland. I then ask another waiter if we could have more sauce. He then mentions that, that specific sauce isn’t available anymore. So now I’m wondering why my waitress didn’t say anything about it but still let me order it. 😠 Mind you we are regulars. That doesn’t mean we get special treatment. But I also work in horeca and this is just not done. We didn’t even get a polite “enjoy your food”. We got no interaction from that waitress or no information about our food. Our spring rolls came about 15 min later after we got the rest of our food. Again handed without saying anything. To make it worse I got a splinter from the chair through my pants. My friend and I as regulars were both very disappointed, we won’t be coming here much anymore. If you want to come here, it’s always a gamble if it’s a good day or bad day of service or food. This day was just the worst of them for us.

I visited Nom Pow with a group of six people yesterday evening, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. Unfortunately, I cannot give a higher rating due to an unpleasant incident that took place during our visit.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by an individual who claimed to be the store manager. However, our encounter with this employee took a turn for the worse. He abruptly split our group into two separate tables, even though there was an available table suitable for six people. When I politely inquired about the reason behind this decision, he responded rudely, stating that we either had to dine at the assigned tables or leave the premises. To make matters worse, he promptly took our menus away, leaving us bewildered and frustrated.

This incident left us feeling humiliated and distressed during what was supposed to be an enjoyable dining experience. Subsequently, I have taken steps to address this matter with the FPS of Public Food in Belgium and the local police, as I believe the employee's behavior was not only unacceptable but also potentially illegal.

In light of the seriousness of this situation, I kindly request that you provide me with the personal details of the specific individual who was responsible for this unfortunate incident. I need this information to continue my police report and ensure that appropriate actions are taken. If you are unable to provide these details, please be aware that I will have no choice but to pursue legal actions against the entire restaurant, as the employee's behavior was not only rude but also aggressive and completely unacceptable.

I sincerely hope that we can resolve this matter amicably and swiftly. Your prompt response and cooperation in providing the necessary information will be greatly appreciated. I believe that addressing this issue promptly is in the best interest of both parties involved.

(27/11) UPDATE!

Despite being told that one of my friends was contacted, I personally haven’t received any communication or resolution from the company.

I am still awaiting a refund for the unsatisfactory service, as well as a formal apology from the specific employee who was rude during our visit. The absence of these actions has left me considering legal steps to ensure this matter is taken seriously.

Moreover, I would like to request an appointment with either the store manager or the owner. It’s crucial that this situation is addressed at a higher level to prevent similar experiences for...
