Thaiburi — Restaurant in Brussels

10/10 would come again. You must make a reservation and trust me—it’s worth it. I love Thai food and have eaten Thai food everywhere but have yet to get to Thailand. I imagine this is what is actually tastes like! I didn’t even have to clarify or ask spice level etc it was just SO GOOD! Chicken spring rolls 10/10. Green Curry with chicken 10/10. Pad See Eww with chicken 9/10 (too heavy on the soy sauce for my liking but still would eat it again). Not sure about the other reviews but service was exceptional. Food came out at an appropriate time and never felt like we were aimlessly sitting or needing to ask for assistance. I imagine those reviews come from people who don’t understand about living in the moment and enjoying the time and experience. The team was extremely personable and charming. If I were to come back to Brussels rest assure I’d be stopping here again. This was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The staff is not bad, but the rest… oh my god this people have a restaurant and it seems like they don’t want people to go twice. We order a starter/Entree, absolutely overpriced, and so small.

Then we asked for the noodles for me and, salad for my girlfriend after 1 hour and 15 minutes we got the food. (8 people eating in the restaurant in total) that’s a shame guys. Really.

The salad was the worst. They said in the menu it has Papaya. Ok it has papaya but you need to look for it with telescope. The amount of liquid in the salad… I don’t know if it was a soup or salad. More liquid than food.

The noodles we ok but not a good amount of food. I think you can make the plate bigger.

The amount of food is so small that we got home and we ate again. The waitress is adorable but she said sorry to us 2 or 3 times. Absolutely disappointed. NEVER GOING BACK!!!

And the bill was +100 euros and we didn’t eat. Thank you guys for the worst experience.

My wife looked for a good Thai in the vicinity of our hotel so we booked this one. The culinary experience was great, starting with the service by Jonathan, the dishes and the welcoming atmosphere. For those of you who like to eat super spicy, you’ll be served. But seriously the “normal” spiciness of the Thai cuisine should be enough of a challenge. Since my previous dinner (elsewhere) was disappointing regarding the spiciness, well remember the Thai cook the way they cook 🥵 no compromise 😉 like the owner said either spicy or very spicy 😋.
