Restaurant forgot to add half the delivery to our Uber eats order. So far no issue, these things happen. However, the attitude of the store lady picking up the phone and the stores policy for such a problem is not.

My experience was that they told me to contact Uber eats myself and try to get my money back (which was over 60 euros for me, which is a lot of money).

Additionally, I did not get the part of the order which was not delivered.

This is an unacceptable approach as a business towards its clients and shows to me they don't really care about their clients to be honest. There are enough Uber eats drivers picking up food from the place which could be easily directed to bring the missing food to our place for an additional fee the restaurant should rightfully pay for it's mistake.

Worse is, I was given attitude for telling them this and the lady said, quote: "I don't really give a shit, we are a small business, there is nothing we can do, don't be mad at ME."

So yeah, you better pray THEY don't make a mistake and leave YOU with the mess to pick up and get your money back with most of the food ordered missing. On top of that, giving victimhood attitude instead of owning up for THEIR mistake is bad business practice in my...

Unfortunately, our experience at Chou Sando was quite disappointing. While the Sando Ebi and Sando Tonkatsu were good and all the ingredients—including the miso soup—were super fresh, the service was a huge letdown.

We waited 30 minutes for our sandwiches to go, and the cashier was outright rude. When I mentioned that we had been waiting for 20 minutes, he corrected me in a condescending tone, saying it was "maybe 15, but not 20." No smiles, no friendliness—just an unnecessarily unpleasant attitude. Looking at past reviews, it seems we're not the only ones who have had a bad experience with service here.

To make matters worse, they were handling a large number of Deliveroo orders, which likely caused the delay. If you're planning to eat here, expect to wait a long time, especially for takeout. The food was fresh and decent, but nothing exceptional—and for the steep price of a mere sandwich and a 30-minute wait, it’s just not worth it.

We won’t be...

I really loved this place, I went many times and I recommended it to everyone, but I don’t know if I’ll come back after today. I wanted to have lunch there, I arrived and there were a few people outside, so I asked if they were waiting for the table or for take away, everyone responded take away, so I got in and I took a free table just like me and my friends ALWAYS DID the last ten times we were there, and then I went to order. The owner came at me in a really rude way telling me I couldn’t do that and asked me to remove my things. I don’t really like being yelled at, especially for something I did quite a few times and nobody has ever told me I couldn’t. Obviously I left, but I see here on the reviews that it’s not the first time the staff is not friendly with customers. Things can be...

I went for the rice option - katsudon (as a good Asian;)) while my friend went for the menchi katsu sandwich. Both very good and tasty and the sauces also of very good quality, with a very nice assortment of Japanese beers and other drinks (ramune)...😋 I also saw the staff come to the table next to us to explain halal options, so for Muslim customers, you also have options there! It's so interesting to see a restaurant around the concept of a Japanese-style sandwich especially cause in Japan similar sandwiches would mostly be sold at a convenience store and not necessarily have a restaurant for it... Service was slightly slow if you consider "it's a sandwich" but it was worth the wait!

Chou Sando is a hidden gem in the heart of Brussels. This cozy eatery specializes in Japanese-style sandwiches, known as “sando.” The minimalist decor and welcoming atmosphere create the perfect backdrop for savoring these culinary delights. The menu offers a variety of sando options, from classic torikatsu to inventive vegetarian choices, all served with precision and care. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients are evident in every bite. Don’t miss their tempura’s and salty endamame, which complement the sandwiches beautifully. Chou Sando is a must-visit for food enthusiasts looking to explore a fusion of Japanese flavors in Brussels.
