We reserved in Publico well in advance for 6 people on a Saturday evening. When we arrived at the restaurant and mentioned our reservation, the staff was acting suspiciously already. Why? Because they already knew that they had given our table away to another reservation with 7 people (7 people makes more money than 6 I guess?). They then came up with "Oh no, turns out we've got a double booking"... which they obviously had done purposely. We had to go out and find another restaurant that would seat 6 people without a reservation...

A quality restaurant would never give a reservation away then not even have the decency to call you to cancel the reservation and lie to your face .. Very...

We were a group of 8 adults and came to Publico after reading some good reviews. We did not regret our decision at all! The place was really cozy, with a good music on. The menu offered a variety of foods so everyone found something they liked. The quality and the presentation of meals was excellent too. Despite having only one waitress at service (meaning it took some time for her to serve all the tables), she remained calm, professional and positive. The waitress was able to speak many languages and made no errors in our orders. We really enjoyed our experience at Publico and can recommend it to anyone looking for a decent place to...

Teriffic experience! We picked this Restaurant because it was one of the closest ones around and it Turmed out to be the best possible choice! The Look and feel is really comfy especially when sitting upstairs and being able to look down on the bar.

The Food was excellent and the price was relatively cheap compared to other Restaurants of this kind nearby. And it was really good!

As we were so pleased with the main dish we ordered some Brownies and hot chocolate and it was fantastic (especially the hot chocolate that is served as hot Milk with a seperate Glass of small chocolate lenses)

We were positively surprised and...

Honestly, the food is good and well cooked but... I think it could be better. In a country where the humble potato has an elevated status - these chips were just ok. The bread and olives were delicious. And, the chicken in the Vol-au-vents was tender, buried in a deliciously creamy and delicately herbed sauce. The service was friendly and professional - no fault there. But, there is a little something missing - I can’t quite put my finger on it. The food could be better.

"Publico is an Italian restaurant in the center of Brussels. It has a diversified menu, very friendly that staff serves you and the restaurant guarantees a good balance between price and quality." -This was my original review. However the last three times I visited Publico, the food was less qualitative. It is still good, bit less tasteful than first times I visited Publico. Also the staff was a lot less friendly the last time I visited.

I was nearby and Yelp gave it 4 stars. The reviews were mixed but with the best rating and within a quick walk, I figured I'd give it a try. I had the shrimp tagliatelle and it was delicious. The server was more than attentive and I wasn't disappointed. The seating outside is nice, and it isnt crazy crowded with people passing by. People watching but without feeling crowded into your meal like other places around.
