We've just returned from a 3 night stay here and had a lovely time. Although it's close to the station, the hotel is located on a quiet street and just a 5 mins walk away. In the area there are restaurants and a lovely Panda bakery plus a small shop to get some water etc. We chose the first floor room which was lovely with it's pink flamingo wallpaper and high ceilings. It had a bathroom with a bath and a shower over it plus a small sitting room with a wardrobe. The heating worked well although it was mild for the time of year and we didn't really need it much. We didn't meet the owners as they were away but we were looked after well by Fien who was really welcoming. She found some nice herbal tea for me for the room which was great! Plenty of trams stop at the station to take you into Ghent centre or it's a 30 min pretty flat easy walk to the sights. The only slight criticism I would have is the room needed some drawers to put some bits in but that's if I'm being picky! Great stay, highly...

The room was large though amenities were not great - the fridge did not work and the towels were never replaced nor the room serviced at all. There were two mismatched old chairs and a small coffee table. The bathroom door was glass panelled offering no privacy. The old wooden floor was creaky and in rough shape.||The only time we say the operator was when we first checked in and left - she then told us to pay the city tax.||The location is good - not far from the main railway station bough some distance to the centre of town. ||The venue calls itself a BnB though it was not included in the tariff and opened at 9am, too...
