Mister Spaghetti Gent — Restaurant in Ghent

VERY disappointed. Ordered via Takeaway, their ordering system automatically adds 2 extra meatballs in the Big Don or whatever the dish is called, no possibility to deselect, so minimum price was almost 23 euros and there was no parmezan in the bag, which according to the site and details of the dish comes with it.

Portions are rather small even though I ordered the Groot version of the pasta with wine. (box is the same size as the meatball dish) Almost no sauce in the meatball dish, very disappointing.

Both of the dishes were bland.

I hope the experience in the restaurant is better, I wanted to test at home before going there but I think I'm gonna skip Mister and drive a bit further.

I understand the location is brand new, maybe some growing pains but this was below par by any standard...

We ate here with a group of 5, one of which had a bunch of food allergies. The wait staff and the chef were so accommodating for her, it was amazing! The chef was so excited to get into the kitchen to experiment with a surprise dish for her, completely in compliance with her different allergies. It tasted amazing (all the food did). This is a perfect place for a dinner if you’re a budget traveler. In comparison with other restaurants in Gent, this is cheap. I came here hungry and wasn’t expecting michellin star quality food - and now I’m full and happy. A small portion of bolognese will be enough for anyone in my opinion.
