Our party of four was really excited to taste what Steamy Windows had to offer, however the excitement almost instantly faded as soon as we were seated.
First of all the drinks were, for lack of better words bland and boring. Homemade ice tea was just water and a dash of some kind of syrup, as was the Yoigokochi yuzushu cocktail which tasted like an alcoholic lemonade.
I must note that the water provided had residue and a sesameseed in the bottle which indicates that it was not properly washed, this may lead to health issues if unknowingly ingested.
The food was even more disappointing than the drinks as everything was extremely bland and tasteless, you could argue the soy sauce on the table was there to salten things up, but none of the dumplings we ordered had any seasonings whatsoever.
I am disappointed that none of the staff had asked us when bringing and paying the bill if everything was alright, I myself work in the service industry myself and know how important that question is, during and at the end of the meal.
Critiques can often help the restaurant guide towards a better path, and hopefully this one could help prevent similar experiences...

There is nothing particularly special about the filling or flavours that would justify the price of these dumplings. The texture of the filling was also more paste-like. Nice plating but lacking significant substance.
We ordered the duck, pork, and mushroom dumplings along with shumai, shrimp gyoza and padron peppers. The Padron peppers were particularly disappointing, 6 small undergrilled peppers for 8 euros.
The restaurant is well appointed and quite trendy. Service was decent but quite slow for dumplings.
Overall, would not recommend. Anybody who has had good authentic dumplings before would be sorely disappointed. This restaurant presents itself more as a novelty - so if you've never had any before and don't mind paying a premium,...

When I said āthis makes me not coming here to eat everā she replied āI donāt careāš³. What kind of comment is that? Obviously she cannot be the owner of the place because she has no customer care/service skills whatsoever. She is working in the wrong business being that rude. Sadly, we were having the best experience in Belgium so far until this moment. Needless to say we wonāt recommend this...
