Among the best Italian restaurants that can be found in Brussels, Miranda stands out for its always changing original proposals, which perfectly combine Italian traditions (in particular of Basilicata, the homeland of the owners) with surprising revisitations and international influences, fine coziness and friendliness of the staff. Chef Ale is a volcano of ideas, a creative genius constantly experimenting (despite having some iconic signature dishes that he periodically proposes, such as his caponata, to mention just one of them), who at the same time makes you feel at home with his down-to-earth attitude. Maria Concetta in the front of house welcomes and serves the clients with warmth, care and attention and so does the rest of the team. Whether you are nostalgic for prime quality Italian ingredients and recipes or you want to try something different from the traditional Italian menus offered out of Italy, whether the occasion is casual or formal, Miranda is the...
Read moreWow, what a find! We came here for lunch after looking around the other restaurants on Rue du Page, and were attracted by the G&M rating on the door. I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants in this area (my favourite is La Quincaillerie) but I’d never tried Miranda. We had the lunch menu, which was very well priced at 22€ for 2 courses, and I think 28€ for 3 courses. The pasta was phenomenally good, as were the crepes. The crepes were made in the Northern Italian way which is very hard to find in Brussels. The chef nailed it: flavours, textures, temperatures, all perfect and interesting. The service was superb, with a lovely, friendly waitress. We didn’t have any wine, but the wine list looked fantastic. I look forward to coming back for lunch, or for their dinner menu which also seemed very well priced for 3-4 courses. Definitely eat here if you like Italian food, or if you want to try some impressive flavours and...
Read moreHighly recommended for a nice and quality dinner! We tried this restaurant for the first time last night and we were positively surprised by the high quality of food and of the service. The menu is not long, and you understand why by the freshness of the food they use. I had poached egg for starter, which was great. It took a bit long to arrive as the first egg broke in the cooking so they had to make a new one. But they came to tell us right away and served us some nice appetizer while we waited. My boyfriend took the breaded anchovies which were super tasty! For main course I got the seafood pasta (very good) and he got the ragu', you could tell that everything was freshly made. The service was great during the whole dinner! I've learned they have a brunch option on the weekend for 25EUR, and I look forward to...
