I've been here several times, a few times earlier this year and again last week. This place used to be amazing. I always recommended it to co-workers. My last experience was NOT good.
First and foremost the digital menu can be a nightmare to navigate. One of my co-workers got frustrated and just ordered whatever was on the page because he could not figure out how to navigate the menu. They need to either change the digital menu format or start using paper menus again.
We ordered a bottle of sake. It's the same bottle of sake I have ordered before, and yet for some odd reason they did not use sake glasses but instead brought out these triangular shaped glasses and proceeded to OVER POUR each glass that wasted perfectly good sake! Not only is that wasteful, but then you couldn't even drink from the glasses without spilling and wasting even more sake. This was the second most expensive sake on the menu too.
The food also was not up to this location's typical standards. The wasabi used to be legit real wasabi. It is now the imitation horseradish paste found in mid and low grade sushi restaurants.
The fish quality has also diminished. Where once every bite was a dream, I can honestly say that I couldn't differentiate the different fish by taste. They all tasted bland.
One dish we ordered was listed as topped by foie gras. I have gotten it before and previously they were generous with the foie gras portion. This time it was the tiniest sliver of foie gras (no bigger than a pinkie nail) that had no discernible effect on the flavor of the dish (scallop).
When the bill came, my co-workers and I decided to split it up. It was a very easy split but the waiter tried to over charge us thinking we would not notice. It was not just a simple mistake, he had tried to do it on purpose. Just as I presume the waste of sake was done on purpose.
This restaurant used to be a top grade sushi restaurant. Service used to be on point. Food used to be exquisite. I don't know if they are going through a rough time or if they are going through some type of permanent change.
I no longer recommend this restaurant to others as a result of our most...
Read moreNot being able to speak a word of Portuguese, I thought it was going to be a struggle when we entered. However, we asked our waiter (Sergio) to recommend a few dishes, which he did. He suggested a few starters and a main which we agreed with plus some of the non alcoholic cocktails. The cocktails were delicious and the starters were even better (we liked one so much we ordered some more). The main then came out (chefs special) and everything on the plate was equally delicious. He already had checked if we had any dietary requirements which was a nice touch so it meant we knew we could eat everything. As we then waited on our repeat order of the starter, he brought a complimentary dish out from the chef which was equally stunning, and which we really did not expect! Finally, once we'd eaten everything, we asked for the bill and he then brought over (again complimentary) vanilla & coffee milkshake type drinks in dessert glasses which were incredible! Honestly can't recommend this place enough! I don't think there was anything that we didn't like plus the two complimentary items was a...
A comida é bonita com sabor simplesmente bom, o ambiente é bonito, o serviço é fraco e o marketing é forte. E o preço? Está no cardápio...
