Qbar — Restaurant in Plovdiv

I am surprised how this place has such a high number of good reviews when all this happened to me, on a chill Thursday night (the place was not even full):

We were a group of THREE girls, we waited half an hour hoping that the staff to will notice us, greet us and provide us with the menus. Since this did not happen we had to wave at some guy from the stuff so we can finally get our menus. When we requested them, he took from his pocket ONE HALF WET MENU and put it in the middle of the table and left. Then we had to ask for additional menus and this time we received only one menu, which at least it was dry, but we never got the chance to get 3 menus … please print more menus, this is unacceptable !!! The drinks were not even close to good. I don’t know why they should offer such variety when they cannot do any of them. Please focus on a few before you offer variety!!! And the cherry of top - the staff tried to convince me that this paper (please see the attached image) with the drinks was the receipt. I asked his politely to provide me with a real receipt that has the QR but I never...

The bar is good, the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are smiling..., but I have to share a bad experience from this place. I was sitting alone, at one point a not very pleasant man came to me, took a chair and sat at my table without asking. He talked nonsense, introduced himself as if he was from Russia, said something angry in Russian, I didn't understand anything, it seemed as if he was threatening me... I hope that other people will not have this experience, and that this madman will not come to this place again. I could see that people who were sitting at other tables and saw this were also uncomfortable. I managed to escape, but I think I stayed, this madman was ready...

Nice place to visit if when you're in the area for a quick drink. Their house espresso is 10/10. They mostly serve non-complicated drinks all day. Nice decorated indoor and big enough outdoor sitting area too. Waitresses are kind and speaks good English. The best part of this place is being at the edge of packed area of Kapana. You can have a quick refreshing drink without getting involved inside of the busy zone. I'll definitely visit this place when in the area happily. Reasonable prices. They have a QR code to scan on the tables for their menu. In the busy periods you can easily scan the code & pick your drink before the staff approach...
