Turkish Coffee and Pastry Shop "Dzhumaya" — Restaurant in Plovdiv

Pretty yet busy/disorganized Turkish coffee and pastry shop that has more than just baklava and kunefe, but good luck trying to flag someone down to serve it to you!

Not wanting to deal with the insanity of eating there, I still stood at the counter waiting for anyone to notice me for a good 10 minutes before a lady from the back bringing in pastries asked if I needed help. When I told her I was only there for take out, she yelled at one of the other workers and I was immediately served. shrugs

My slice of cake was put in a container smaller than the cake itself, giving it a smushed, uneven look. Taste-wise, it was more chocolate topping than sugary orange cake; the chocolate really was overwhelming.

Maybe stop by for something sweet with your Turkish tea, but take out not recommended. Also, Plovdiv has quite a number of good coffee and pastry shops that are actually happy for your...

If you come here, you're paying for the location. Not the food, not the service-the location. The sweets are overly sweetened, any cook worth their salt will immediately notice that. Before you say "its Turkish cuisine, its supposed to be very sweet" I am half Turkish and I have been eating and cooking most of the sweets on this menu and trust me-this is not how they are supposed to be made. Sweetened -yes, drowned in sugar-no. Whoever made this food had no clue on how to make Turkish desserts or their taste palette is simply off. The drinks are also really subpar and the staff is slow, possibly due to understaffing. Would I recommend this place? Only if you wish to pay for a chair with a view and order nothing but water/soft drink that cannot be affected by the incompetence...

The worst service in Plovediv(Bulgary). Waitresses that directly DO NOT answer you, and if they do, it is in their language and they do not do any effort to try to understand your language.

They do not accept credit card and they do not help you to pay maybe in Euros or at least help you to find the way, they just pass on you.

There is no bathroom and you have to go to another place where you have to pay extra for a bathroom entrance.
