Om my way home from morning jogging, I drop by at this Doi Chaang Coffee Shop. Well, as I often do, I am actually not a coffee lover at all, but I still love other kind of drinks but coffee, such as tea, hot chocolate, smoothie, juice, etc. So basically, when I visit a coffee shop, it must not be for drink coffee but for other stuff, most likely fresh (tropical) fruit juice.
Well, today is my first time visit this Doi Chaang Coffee BKK1 at Street 57, Phnom Penh. Not far from Bijin Naben Japanese Food or Crystal Jade BKK1.
My impression when entering this coffee shop: the place is clean, neat and spacious. It has aircon and several tables (around 50 seats, I guess). Each tables are separates bu transparent plastic to prevent the Covid-19 virus from spreading, and in order to comply with local Cambodian Government regulations.
Guests, come and go. I noted that around 60% of the seats are occupied. Yes, it is a good sign of the return to life's normalcy after almost two years of movement limitation due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Today, I ordered Chicken Sandwich (especially for Muslim people, please be careful, because inside the sandwich they put ham, which is made of pork, that is prohibited by Islam religion to eat pork and its derivative, such as ham, lard, broth made with pig bones etc.,).
I also ordered french fries, and fresh kiwi juice, and iced coffee latte. All are taste OK, standard.
Fairly...

You should come here in the afternoon after lunch time if you want some place to stay for a while doing some things in your laptop. The wifi speed is good (94.5 mbps).
Food is good, too. The portion is quite large. I ordered the soup and pork noodles; it's good for 2–3 people.
Price: $4.50–$10.00, depending on what you ordered. But the minimum price for food is $4.50 for drinks $2.50–$3.00 is minimum price.
Staff are friendly (they can't speak English well).
It's not as quiet as you wanted as there's a lot also staying in the place. It's fully AC and spacious area to work with or just spent your afternoon.
SUGGESTION: They should always close the door going back to the washroom, as the smell will get...

After (presumably) over 1,000 cups and dishes here, this is the experience that I get.
Today, June 24, one of the waiters came up to me and asked if I hadn’t paid a bill on June 8 — for a lime soda and a carrot juice.
I froze in disbelief (Yes, I got very angry & trembling and complained about their wrongful act as a customer service). Because in all these 6+ years of being a loyal customer at this coffee shop, I’ve only ever ordered 3 things: coffee, tea & food.
They apologized after I confronted them. But still — an accusation from your favorite coffee shop hits differently.
Until then, I hope none of us get wrongly accused over lime soda & carrot juice 😇🕊️
May we all deserve the best things in...
