Okawari — Restaurant in Alberta

Walked in, asked the worker how many pieces come in an order of sashimi since the menu outside didn’t specify # of pieces. He said two so I was deciding how many orders of salmon and spicy red tuna I wanted to order for my fiancé and I. After not even 30 seconds to decide to order 3 orders of each and telling the worker my order, the worker says very rudely “the menu is right in front of you, why are you taking so long to try to remember your order?” First of all he had the menu on the counter covered with a keyboard and secondly I was not trying to spend over $50 on sashimi (which I am glad I didn’t). I thought about walking out because the dude didn’t deserve my business but I knew my fiancé wanted sashimi so I still ordered. I told my fiancé what happened while waiting for the food and he said he would’ve walked out and told me next time I should. Food took over 20 minutes which is ridiculous because it’s sashimi but it’s because he was using the microwave to defrost it. I sent my fiancé in because I was so mad at the interaction I had with the worker and the worker was way more pleasant to him than he was to me. He told him to wait for the red tuna to defrost more before he eats it. Both my fiancé and I have worked/are in the hospitality industry and never in my life have I had someone speak to me so rudely as a customer so I was really taken back.

A group of my friends and I visited Canmore and thought this was a great place to grab drinks and snacks. While their drink was okay, the customer service was terrible. While ordering, I asked whether their bubble tea was made of fruit juice or powder. The worker (or owner, not quite sure) had informed me that there was both. I had understood this as that he sold both real fruit and both powder versions of each drink. Upon asking for real fruit bubble tea he proceeded to yell at me for not understanding that he incorporated both powder and fruit into the drink. I found no reason for him to begin yelling while ordering. He exploded, saying if he gave real fruit bubble teas he would run out of business. I thought this interaction was compteley unwarranted and unprofessional. While the drink tasted ok, the customer service is severely lacking. I'm not sure if maybe he was in a bad mood but I see no reason to for him to take out his anger on customers. If there was the option on this google review, I would rate this place a 0/5 for...
