Firangi is a restaurant I would recommend for the most part, and here is why. We ordered a lot of food since we had guests, and mostly nothing disappointed! We order Gobi Manchurian, Hara Bhara Kebab, Kadhai Paneer, Rat with Dal, Kesari Malai Kofta, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti, and Romali Roti. The quantities of everything is really good, and so is the taste. The perfectly crispy, crunchy Gobi Manchurian was of delicious taste, and my favorite, the Hara Bhara Kebab, was crispy on the outside, and soft, and extremely tasty on the inside! The Rat with Dal is basically Dal Makhani, and was yummy. The Kadhai Paneer was really good (but a little spicy), and the paneer/vegetable pieces are well cooked. My favorite side dish was the sweet and savory Kesari Malai Kofta with the flavorful gravy, and the scrumptious Koftas! Both the Garlic Naan and Tandoori Roti were of great flavor and texture, but we did not like the Romali Roti as much since it was dry, and chewy. Moving on to the ambience, it was simply splendid! I love the elegant feel of the restaurant, and the very clean dishes, utensils, tables, seats, bathrooms, and overall restaurant. The service is fairly quick, and yet the food is so fresh! There was an annoying fly buzzing around for a little while, but I understand that that may be hard to control. Something I would like to point out is the Mango Lassi we ordered which never arrived, but it was removed from the receipt, which is good. Another thing, before we came to this restaurant, I was looking through some reviews. A lot of the reviews included photos of desserts, and the menus we were given did not show any dessert options. While we were not planning to order dessert, I think that the restaurant should include everything they serve in their menus. The restaurant is slightly on the expensive side, but for the amazing quality of the food and the restaurant, it is reasonable. In the end, I would certainly recommend Firangi for anyone in search of a sophisticated dining experience, with a wonderful quality of food and the restaurant itself, and I am certainly revisiting!

Had a great night at Firangi and here are the positives and things to improve: (+) i. Service: Was great! From the phone reservation process to paying the bill, the staff were friendly, helpful and really warm. Definitely what made our visit a great one! ii. Menu/Food: Overall the food was above the average Indian fare. The menu had a good twist on traditional Indian dishes. We had Veg Biriyani, Badami Chicken (Tandoori), Rajasthani Lal Maas (Goat curry), jack fruit Curry , and the Onion/Chilli naan. Except the chicken dish everything else was great! The jack fruit curry which I usually see in Sri Lankan places was a definite surprise ( a good one) for an Indian restaurant. iii. Portion size: was really good. And the staff were honest in explaining the quantity to expect which I appreciated. iv. Value: The food was absolutely worth the money we spent. (Neutral) i. Ambiance: Was decent, probably not the best I've been to but nothing to worry about too much. Maybe was not a big fan of too much black in the overall scheme ii. Badami chicken dish: needed more flavor (-) i.Washrooms: The men's washroom were quite unclean. The stall was a bit of a disaster which really put me off. The women's washroom apparently ran out of soap. I think the staff need to constantly monitor the washrooms to ensure that the customers don't have a negative experience of the restaurant because of badly kept washrooms. I visited the men's washroom twice in a course of an hour but the situation remained the same. ii. Heating: I think the heating was not working when we visited and there were multiple heating fans placed around. Yet it was quite cold in the restaurant especially since we were quite close to the entrance. Overall I had a positive experience and would visit again. If the negatives are taken into account I think it would be just perfect!

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at FIRANGI restaurant, and I feel compelled to share my extremely disappointing and disturbing experience. I hope my review serves as a cautionary tale to anyone thinking about dining here. To begin with, my dining companions and I ordered Manchurian Gobi and Garlic Momos as our starters. The Manchurian Gobi was the only saving grace in the entire meal, as it was surprisingly enjoyable. Momos had a strange and after putting taste that left us wondering about the ingredients freshness. Our misery continued with the main course. We ordered a selection of dishes, including raita, dal bukhara, paneer shahi lababdar, butter chicken, and chicken tikka masala. It was apparent that the kitchen staff had never heard of the concept of proper cooking. The meats in our dishes were tough and undercooked, rendering them inedible. The paneer in the shahi lababdar was far from fresh, and the yogurt used in the raita had a peculiar and unpleasant aftertaste that tainted the entire dish. The dal bukhara was served cold and was so thick that it clung to our spoons like glue. It was impossible to consume. To add insult to injury, we ordered dhaba chicken curry, only to be told after a 25-minute wait that it was unavailable. Instead, they offered us what they claimed was chicken tikka masala. However, it resembled a starter more than a main course, as it contained barely any curry. When we requested that they rectify this, it seemed as though they had simply poured butter chicken gravy or tomato sauce into the dish, resulting in a flavorless and disjointed mess that bore no resemblance to a proper curry. The abysmal quality of the food was only matched by the abhorrent service we received. The manager, who should have been responsible for addressing our concerns, was conspicuously absent. Instead, a different individual who appeared to be in charge of the servers approached us. He greeted our complaints with a smug smile and refused to accept any criticism or feedback. There was a shocking lack of empathy, concern, or even a simple apology for the dismal experience we were enduring. As if the culinary catastrophe wasn't enough, all four of us experienced discomfort and unusual sensations in our stomachs after consuming this subpar fare. We could barely manage to eat a few spoonfuls before resigning ourselves to the fact that we had made a grave mistake by dining at FIRANGI. I wouldn’t give this restaurant a single star but Google doesn’t have an option of half star.. In conclusion, I implore you to think long and hard before considering FIRANGI restaurant for your dining needs. The food we were served was not only inedible but seemed like leftovers from the day as we got our tables only around 9:50pm and restaurant closes at 10pm. The complete lack of professionalism and customer care from the staff was a final blow to an already disastrous dining experience. This restaurant has left an indelible mark on my memory, and I sincerely hope that my review helps others avoid the same nightmare.

Went here for a private birthday lunch. The atmosphere was phenomenal, but the food on the other hand, was just ok. I was impressed to see the owner going around handing out drinks, but I was taken by surprise the staff and owner went around asking guests to put a review once the appetizers was completed. From the apps, only the Chilli fish was good. Well, that was the only good thing I ate there overall. They had a few items as chicken 65, pani puri, butter chicken, and another fish entree but overall poor reviews from other family members as well, in regards to taste/flavour. There was a guest list of about 90+ members but we had a hard time moving around with about 75 people. The event was supposed to start at 12pm but due to delays on the host, the event started at 1:30. But with that being said, no food or hot drinks were set for guests to have. We had a few older folks who had to wait for coffee/tea. In the end we had left over food to take as they made enough food for 93 guests but only 75 were there. The remainder of the food did not seem to be enough for 10 people at least. Lastly the biggest surprise for me was the way they cut the cake for use. The cake was a crumble with only a few pieces in tack. I don't understand how they thought it was a good idea to damage a cake we brought and give it to us to hand out. If they couldn't cut a cake then they should've stopped and said something to us. Overall very bad experience as it was my first time at this venue.

recently had the pleasure of dining at Firangi, and it was a remarkable experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the restaurant exudes elegance with its tasteful decor and sophisticated lighting, setting the perfect stage for a memorable meal. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who were keen to offer recommendations and cater to any special requests. They struck a perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, making us feel both pampered and at ease. The menu at Firangi is a delightful fusion of traditional and contemporary dishes, showcasing a creative approach to fine dining. Each dish was meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. The flavors were both bold and nuanced, reflecting a deep understanding of culinary arts. Standout dishes included the succulent grilled lamb chops and the exquisitely balanced seafood risotto. The wine list was impressive, featuring a curated selection that complemented the menu perfectly. The sommelier’s recommendations were spot-on, enhancing the overall dining experience. Overall, Firangi offers an exceptional fine dining experience that combines exquisite food, top-notch service, and an elegant setting. It’s an ideal choice for special occasions or a sophisticated night out. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their culinary delights.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. This is my friends’ favourite gathering spot to enjoy dinner after a long day of teaching. I am of East Asian descent and bring my immediate and extended family here for special occasions. The food is fresh and flavorful and the ambience delightful. They recently changed the seating... which made me a little wistful. I will miss the little stools! The decor is still amazing though. Back to the food... there is sincerely so much to choose from. My absolute favourite is the Kerela Fish dish which is so subtle but excellent. The naan come to you piping hot and buttery and the papads are beautifully presented with a variety of sauces for dipping. I encourage the restaurant to change their opening hours on Google, their website and phone. We arrived at 5:15 to wait for the 5:30 opening only to learn that it actually opened at 6pm. The staff was gracious and let us in early when I phoned from the parking lot to inquire. We watched 3 cars arrived and leave when they found the restaurant closed. I mentioned this to the staff and they said they had been meaning to change it. I fear they will lose some customers until their opening time is clarified. In all, I LOVE this place. Every time I leave, I long for my next visit. Bravo and amazing job. My friends, family and I love Firangi!!
