Shukrana Sweets and Restaurant — Restaurant in Brampton

I tried this place back in March and everything was amazing. The food that we ordered was very good. So I have ordered from this place a couple of times after that. Every time there is atleast one thing that tastes good so I don’t write anything… good or bad. But now I have to. So I ordered food from here again. Not a single item was good. Paneer butter Masala (picture attached) or otherwise known as oily water with rubber inside. There is no salt no flavour and it tasted so so so so so so so bad. Smells horrible too. Veg Briyani - sour and raw (picture attached) no salt and no flavour except for the sourness. Chana - very bland. Previously tried horrible items- Hara bhara kabab - dry, flavourless, keep a lot of water close to make it go down your throat. Rice Kadhi Bowl - flavoured water. I hate that I spent $48 something here today and the food did not have a single good item in it. I guess the first time was fluke or they serve different/old stuff for...

We visited Shukrana a few days ago and ordered Dahi Bhalla and a plate of Chole Bhature. The toppings on the dahi bhallas were good -- the homemade chutneys were fresh and flavorful. However, the bhallas themselves were somewhat bland and not well-seasoned. The Chole Bhature was decent. While the bhature contained ajwain seeds (which I’m not particularly fond of), if you enjoy ajwain seeds, you’ll likely love them. As for the chole, I felt the quantity could be a bit more, as it’s difficult to finish two bhature with the amount of chole provided.

The owner is a very nice lady, and I think Shukrana is a wonderful family-owned small business that deserves community support to thrive. Constructive feedback is crucial for any family-run restaurant to succeed, and I hope they continue to grow and improve. Please provide them your honest feedback but do not give them 1 star just because you are not happy with one thing or the other,...

The food at Shukrana was truly excellent. The Kulcha and Masala fries were delicious and clearly prepared with care. However, our experience was significantly impacted by the extremely long wait time for our meal. We waited for over an hour to receive our food, which was frustrating and detracted from our enjoyment of the evening.

More concerning, however, was an issue with one of your staff members. At the end of our meal, the waiter took my phone and, without my permission, wrote a positive review that did not accurately reflect our experience. This is unprofessional and, frankly, dishonest.

While the kitchen staff deserves praise for the quality of the food, the service and the conduct of the wait staff need serious attention. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as your restaurant has the potential to be a truly great dining spot if these issues...
