Shawarma Corner — Restaurant in British Columbia

Went here under the recommendation of an amazing tattoo artist. He claimed it was the best shawarma place. Of course I took that with a pinch of salt as people normally through around the title of "best".

I am glad to report, after having eaten shawarma from different parts of the world and several joints across Van and the lower mainland .... This is INFACT the best Shawarma Corner in GVA or dare I say, the entire west coast.

Not to mention, after a few visits here I placed and order for takeaway and unfortunately I recieved an incomplete order. However, the owner realized after I left and went out of his way to resolve the issue by having the remainder of my order delivered to me. He also took a few extra measures to compensate us for the mishap but there was no need since he had delivered it free of charge.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! I’m a regular - I always receive the absolute best service, and no matter what I order it is always just so delicious. The prices are very reasonable. I’m getting hungry and my mouth is watering just writing this review haha I think I’ll go get a shawarma now. Whether you’re a meat-eater, vegetarian or vegan, there are several delicious options for you for dine in, take out or delivery (more about veggie and vegan options below 👇). You don’t have to use a delivery app to get take out (it’s slightly cheaper if you don’t as the restaurant/you won’t need to pay delivery app fees). You don’t have to sit down when going to the restaurant - they will make your food in 5 minutes ready for take out (or dine-in). 10 minutes at most, if they’re super busy. Grabbed a lamb plate during a work lunch, which contained lamb shavings on a bed of seasoned rice, a tabbouleh and cucumber salad (you can add feta for an extra fee), and yogurt and hummus dip. It was great and the portions were very generous for a lunch that is very reasonably priced at $13.99 before tax. I also learned later on that you can pretty much choose any meat and put it on a bed of fries, which I'll be trying next time (and of course, you can get it wrapped up in a pita of course)!

I'll be honest; you won't be here for the ambience (it's set up for quick grab-and-go takeout meals in New West) but service is fast, and if you happen to dine in as I did with my friends, the staff will bring your food to your table which is nice.

This place is around the corner from where I work and I can see why my colleagues keep coming here--the food is incredibly tasty!...
