We were very disappointed to have our Friday family night out to be a rather disgusting experience. When we first walked in the floor was sticky all the way to the table. Sadly, the washroom experience was not very pleasant either as the stall door stuck to the point I almost had to text my family for assistance and there was no paper towel to dry my hands after washing them. Now for the best part... We were facing the kitchen from our table and got to watch a male cook pick his nose then wipe it on his face and then scratch his hair on his head directly above the food he was preparing. The other people in the kitchen were just standing around, chatting and laughing. The kitchen staff and the female server all saw this person do this and didn't seem phased by this gross and disgusting behavior. Needless to say my family was not impressed as we didn't order snot or hair as garnish on our food. We spoke to our server who was one of the people who watched this and she was extremely uncomfortable and didn't know how to handle our issue with the kitchen so we spoke to the manager who was more than apologetic. We cancelled our meal and he didn't make us pay for our drinks which was appreciated. We won't be returning for obvious reasons. When we walked out the manager was talking to the nose picker in the kitchen so hopefully no one else has to experience this. Would give a zero star, but there isn't an...
Read moreFamoso, famoso, after all the times I've been indecisive on what to get to eat there's an obvious pattern, and this place here is the main culprit. First time me and my wife tried this place I was absolutely blown away with the quality and quantity. The second time? Even better. However, my wife today decided to surprise me with the god damn pizza Holy grail as pictured above. Arugula, mushroom, chicken, meatball pizza. This was a knock in the head that I just tried the best pizza I've ever had. Thank you so much for the beyond delicious but so affordable pizza. Love what you guys do!
Regarding the previous reviews that mention the "burnt" pizza; in my opinion, I think that I like that style of crust as it's consistent with the way it is cooked in the traditional oven. We quite like the charring on some patches, as it isn't bitter but adds a nice smoky crunch that sits well with the cheese and acidity of the...
Read moreI entered with low expectations, and still they managed to disappoint me. This location turned out to be a Ricky's, masquerading as a Famoso Italian Pizzeria. Still intent on dining Italian I chose a pizza from their "auxilliary" menu. It was presented with an uber thin crust and a ballooned perimeter. Weird, but not in itself problematic. BUT, 2/3 of the ballooned perimeter was burnt. I mean black, charred, coal burnt. And the interior crust ? So tough that I had difficulty cutting it, even with the serrated knife I borrowed from my companions meal. Overall flavour was "okay", but no saving grace. Service had errors but she did resolve those forthwith (still...
