Food The biscuits were great, and made the visit promising in the beginning.
The shrimp we tried was also tasty. I liked the coconut-covered shrimp, and a few others we tried were all good. The combination of sweet chilli and what I gathered was boiled shrimp didn't seem like it should have been a thing, but to each their own.
Linguini pasta was turned into soup, with an actual bowl full of water and Alfredo sauce making up a rather displeasing sight. The pasta was cooked unevenly, so I ended up barely touching it. The shrimp it was served with was good.
Steak When our stake arrived, both of the waitresses that were working at the time came to our table, and watched us cut into the steak to make sure that it was cooked properly. We asked for medium. It was cooked on the outside, and completely raw on the inside.
Then the waitress took our stake back to cook it more (as apposed to making one properly? I didn't understand that at all). It arrived so stiff that we could barely chew it, so we gave up on it.
Given that they knew they had to look, I suppose they know already their steak is not good, so why on earth would you serve it? Just take it off the menu and focus on sea food!
Staff The waitress serving us wasn't rude, and seemed like a nice lady, but she was really intrusive. She touched me and my girlfriend on the shoulder multiple times, talked to us every time she passes by us, even if were were having our own conversation. Just not what you expect from a waitress in a restaurant these days. It was a little creepy, in my opinion.
Maybe it would have felt different if we had a group of people, but it didn't make for a good romantic atmosphere.
Atmosphere It's dim, but not in a nice intimate way. There is some sort of smell that hits you as soon as you enter the building that just makes it smell like and old eatery, rather than a restaurant. Other than the smell it's about what...
Read moreBetter seafood at the Keg! Ordered the seafood stuffed mushroom caps, which are absolutely amazing at The Keg, but at Red Lobster, the miniscule amount of seafood in the mushroom caps was offset by rice! Rice! Why? The server asked how our appetizer was and I shared my disappointment in having rice fill these "seafood" mushroom caps instead of seafood. She shared that with the manager, who subsequently removed the charge from our bill, without explanation or anything. So I am not sure if the seafood, is actually seefood (rice) or if someone in the back made an error.
Our meal came out and was good, nothing too spectacular, just a good meal. After we were done, we waited over 15 minutes for our server to bring us a bill and allow us to leave. Had to go to the hostess station to ask, when we might be getting our bill. It wasn't very busy either at this point.
When our server came with our bill, they have a machine that says to "Tap, insert or swipe" to pay. I proceeded to try to tap all over this tablet with no luck. Hard when I use apple pay to insert my card. Regardless, got out the card and inserted to pay.
The server proceeded to ask if we wanted to see the manager, which we didn't, but I feel the manager should have come to see us after bringing up the fact that the seafood stuffed mushrooms were stuffed with rice. As we are walking out the door she tried to convince to wait for the manager so that he could give us a $25 gift card.
We couldn't get out of there fast enough as we didn't want to return to a place that sweeps issues under the rug in the hopes that you come back once issued a $25 gift card.
It was over 15 years since the last time and will probably be another 15 years until...
Read moreOn our wedding anniversary, my wife choose seafood... And only one place we could both agree on and thank goodness we went there. It was amazing. Being my usual pain in the butt, I called ahead of time to order drinks and get appetizers going as we had had a long day and we wanted to enjoy our food but we were very hungry.
When we got there, we were greeted right away and shown to our table and the drinks came out almost immediately, followed by some very delicious stuffed mushroom. They're flat bread garlic. It had shrimp on and different cheeses very delicious and of course their house biscuits.I don't know what's in them, but if you have these biscuits, you may be spoiled for the rest of your life.
Filling up on appetizers and biscuits, we waited and we were not disappointed by the main course. My wife had the new orleans with baked potato, and she could not make it through...

I'm a little embarrassed, but I'm not good with crab and I actually asked our server if she could teach me how to get the crab meat out of the crab, intact. She didn't hesitate at all,got gloves and she came in and she showed me exactly how to pull it right out, completely intact, great service, great date night, very memorable. Thank you, Red...
