OPA! of Greece Chinook Mall — Restaurant in Calgary

I've loved OPA all my life and I'm not sure if I came on a bad day but the cashier was so rude! I first noticed this when I came up to order and the cashier was speaking down to the woman before me- partially arguing with her. I didn't think about it too much because I didn't want to misinterpret things but then when I was ordered the cashier very rudely interrupted me to ask if I wanted rice in my kids meal... I thought that was the only option? I've ordered with multiple times before and I'm okay with him saying that but he didn't have to be so rude. Then after all of that, I was waiting in line with my tray to get my food with my friend and its just me, my friend, and the lady he was previously being rude to and he asked my friend to leave the line because it was for customers? I understand but it's not very busy right now and he asked EXTREMELY condescendingly and rude to the point the lady in front of us whom we didn't even know started to say "He really shouldn't be talking to you like that".

It didn't end there. After I got my food, I sat down with my friend's family and my order was wrong which has never happened before at OPA! Despite the cashier specifically being rude and asking me if I wanted rice or not, we gave me this chickpea salad instead of rice? I didn't even know that was an option with the kids meal and not even once did I mention anything about a salad? I'm not the kind of person to not stand up for myself but I was seriously questioning going back because it seemed more worth it to just not eat what I ordered rather than go back and have to deal with the rude worker again. However, I did go back with my friend's mom and he complied and gave me rice on the side but the way he handled the situation told me this had definitely happened before.

Safe to say, I will never go back to the Chinook OPA again... or at least not until this angry man is gone. Its a shame since OPA really was my go to food choice at...

Update- went again . I like opa ! Again they were very nice to me . The fries are really good .

Older-I had the chicken pita wrap ! . It was pretty good. The staff was very nice to me and gave me a brochure to look at the menu because I cant see very well lol . she also suggested i get the fries and salad split for my combo , I was excited because i couldn't decided between the two , So it's nice they have that feature . The only weird part is the combo did not come with a drink ? The wrap had a little to much sause, but it was overall decent quality. The fries have seasoning on them, making them pretty good and different ! I really enjoyed the Ceasar salad , it was very nice !!

The Atmosphere was 2 stars because mall seating is never good . Uncomfortable and dirty...

I always buy from Opa whenever i'm at the mall and most of the time the staff were really friendly except for this rude guy cashier. First, he did not even say hello, just stared at me blankly. I ordered a side calamari,side fries and a drink. But when i checked my receipt he charged me with a calamari with salad and a drink. So i went up to him and told him again what i ordered, and he rudely said that i ordered rice. Instead of apologizing first, he kept arguing that i said rice. When his co worker was trying to fix his mistake, he is still arguing with his co worker that i said rice. The lady told him not to argue anymore and looks embarrased for him. He keeps glaring at me while i was waiting for my order. That guy needs a lesson in...
