Love poke so thought i'd try this place. Kale base was a welcome sight on the menu since kale seems to go well with the more mushy proteins in poke. much to my chagrin, they used long grain (maybe even basmati?) rice for their coconut rice which was already kind of out of place, but then to make it even stranger, when i mixed my bowl it was ... a greasy kinda mess? Poke should be fresh and light, and this just wasn't. Will probably try it again because it's near my office, maybe I just got an off time of day (close to closing later in the day).

I would also advise the staff to keep a tidier station, as it's visible from every angle to the customers. It was kind of offputting to look behind the line and see their cold station covered in spatterings of different vegetables and crumbs and things everywhere. Especially because I was there during a lull, they must have had time to keep the station clean or do a wipedown/sweep, it's not like they were flooded with a lunch rush. Didn't really contribute to me liking the food to be honest, but might...

Great food. But as a Type 1 Diabetic, the nutritional information you provide for your bowls is terribly inaccurate. After looking up the nutritional information on the bowl, your company states that it would have had 182g carbohydrate. I thought this was wildly off, and calculated my bolus at about 1/2 of what your nutritional information stated. As a result, my blood sugars dropped below a safe level and it took 50g of carbs to get my sugars back to a healthy range. If I had bolused for 182g carbs, I probably would have had to call an ambulance.

Please revise and update your nutritional information. When available, people like myself use nutritional information to make important health and medical decisions. If that information is off by a significant margin, it could lead to dire...

I usually stop by the Hula in Market Mall when I'm shopping because I love these bowls, however my office is downtown so despite the line of 20 people, I decided to try it out at noon on a Tuesday. I was through the line with food in my hand within 10 min or less. This is my favorite "fast food" place of all time based on how healthy it is and how amazing it tastes. I'm just also SO pleased at how efficient they are during the business lunch hour. By the time I had gotten through the line, they had another 30 people in line. I guess people have figured out there will be no delay in getting their lunch no matter how long that line gets. Great job! Sorry no pics.. I crushed it before I decided to post...

I was excited to try a new poke place so I went and saw a big line up and thought it must be good. Ordering system was quick and efficient but I found the menu kinda limited which was fine. I ordered the ahi tuna and salmon tiki with sushi rice. The first few bites were okay but once I got to the rice, I was very disappointed. It was not sticky sushi rice but regular long grain jasmine rice. There is a huge difference in rice and if the menu advertises sushi rice as a base, it should be sushi rice and not another type. The kale was too much and kinda hid the fish. I don't recommend this place. There are better poke places.

The fish here is great, house drinks are delicious, and the sauces are solid. Unfortunately that's about where it ends. Unlike other poke places (Kona for instance) , bowls here are predetermined. If you're used to getting exactly the poke you want, you'll be disappointed. Somehow even with these restrictions, the process behind the counter all but ensures super long lunch lines. Between the lack of options (so few protein options!), long wait times, the lack of customization, and the lack of flexibility, I can't recommend this place. I can't say that I'll be back.

Nice alternative to the usual fast food scene in Downtown. They are basically asian inspired poke bowl chain. Their ingredients are top notch and very tasty. I haven't tasted their entire menu yet but they have sweet to spicy bowls and everything in between. Give it a try, they are a bit pricey for $14 a bowl but it is worth it. I will definitely go back there again, they are in Brookfield place building.
