Best Experience I've Had at a Café I rarely leave positive reviews, but my experience at this café was truly perfect and acceptable. When I walked in, I greeted the barista and tried to start a casual conversation. The café was nearly empty-just one other customer—so it was a matter of being intimate and relaxed.
When it was my turn to order, I politely asked if I should move to the other side of the counter or stay where I was. The barista responded with, "I care about you and you may choose what you’d like" which immediately set a friendly and hospitable tone. I ordered an Americano tipped 25% for what was very good service.
I was handed a hot Americano. When I clarified my order, the barista politely said, "I heard you correctly, here is the order you asked for." When I reminded him that I drink coffee and that it's extremely hot outside, his response was, "You asked for an americano”. He was correct! I realized I’d forgotten to say “iced!” But chose not to purchase another drink. I didn’t need to explain more since I had already placed my order and was satisfied with a delicious hot americano, and he walked off again, since we had completed our interaction . I ended up chugging the drink right there, completely shocked how a hot americano tastes so much better, and was happy with the basic and fair customer service.
Honestly, this was the best cafe experience I've had in Calgary. If this is how they treat customers-especially when I’ve clearly made an error-I would recommend this place to everyone. And if this handsome barista with beautiful luscious long hair is the only one working there, you might never want to consider going elsewhere. I hope management gives...

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this café was truly disappointing and unacceptable. When I walked in, I greeted the barista and tried to start a casual conversation. The café was nearly empty—just one other customer—so it wasn’t a matter of being busy or overwhelmed.
When it was my turn to order, I politely asked if I should move to the other side of the counter or stay where I was. The barista responded with, “I don’t care, do whatever you want,” which immediately set an unfriendly tone. Despite that, I ordered an iced Americano with less ice and even tipped 25% for what I hoped would be good service.
Instead, I was handed a hot Americano. When I clarified my order, the barista coldly said, “Yeah, I didn’t hear that. You need to drink this.” When I reminded him that I don’t drink hot coffee and that it’s extremely hot outside, his response was, “I don’t care whatever you did, just drink this.” He refused to remake the drink and walked away.
I tried once more to explain, and he just rolled his eyes and walked off again, showing zero willingness to fix the mistake. I ended up throwing the drink away right there, completely shocked by the rudeness and lack of basic customer service.
Honestly, this was the worst café experience I’ve had in Calgary. If this is how they treat customers—especially when they’ve clearly made an error—I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. And if this barista with long hair is the only one working there, you might want to consider going elsewhere or hope management teaches him some basic...
Read moreI've been in this neighbourhood for 1yr now and was excited to have a local coffee shop so close to where I live. But wow, their service is horrendous. I can't say I've had a friendly interaction with any of the staff for the past 12 months. Basically, the staff act like they belong on the cast of Mean Girls, it's actually comical. It never bothered me, I figured maybe that's their style. But today the girl that was opening was just plain rude. I went to get coffee, and I find the door is locked. I knocked and the girl inside ignores me while she's on her phone. Strange? Not really for their staff. So I google to see if they're open or closed, and I find it's 2 minutes before opening. I wait and that's when the girl starts getting ready to open. It's 9am now, they should be open, and I'm still outside waiting. The least she could have done is popped the take-out window open or the door and said "be with you in a sec". But she didn't, she just went on about her business. I guess it would be out of character for them to be decent human beings. Anyway, I left. At this point I'd rather spend my money else where than support this local hell hole. All the...
